Kingston & St. Andrew (K&SA) Cohort Recruitment and Training In Kingston & St Andrew, we recruited thirty-six (36) persons with the assistance of 6 supporting organizations. Recruits ranged in age from 17 to 37. Only 93% of the recruits were unemployed and only 7% reported that they had savings. Twenty (21) recruits were selected to receive 3 days of intensive entrepreneurship training by the Institute of Law & Economics. The recruits were assigned mentors fomr LASCO Distributors Ltd. who greatly assisted them to overcome the day-to-day challenges they faced along the way. At the end of the six (6) months of training and monthly team meetings, the participants also received a “Business In A Box� workshop courtesy of student volunteers from the Miami Business School at the University of Miami under the leadership of Mrs Ellen McPhillips, Asst. Dean, Undergraduate Business Education, Miami Business School.
