Im Vorfelde gibt es diese ebenso bei uns im Festivalbüro, denn auch die Künstlerinnen haben besondere Vorstel­ lungen davon, wie sie uns auf den Bühnen unterhalten möchten und stellen uns gerne vor neue Herausforderungen. Ganz spezielle Geschenke erreichten uns dieses Jahr von Gästen – besonders die bezaubernden, handgeschnitzten Hörnchen mit unserem L-BEACHLogo haben jetzt einen Ehrenplatz. Vielen Dank an euch für die großartige Unterstützung, die uns in den Wochen und langen Tagen vor dem Festival erreicht hat! Und natürlich danke an mein großartiges Team, ohne welches dies alles gar nicht möglich wäre! Liebe Gäste, lasst es auch im siebten Jahr wieder richtig krachen! KIDZ CLUB / Kinderbetreuung Ihr reist mit eurem Nachwuchs an, möchtet aber dennoch gerne ein paar kinderlose Stunden verbringen? Kein Problem, denn auch dieses Jahr öffnet der Kidz Club beim L-BEACH wieder seine Pforten! So könnt ihr ganz unbeschwert die Festival-Atmosphäre genießen, während eure Kleinen beim Animationsteam des Weissenhäuser Strandes in den bes­ ten Händen sind. Für Kinder ab 4 Jahren.

BDSM-WORKSHOP Lady Dolores und ihre Sklavin Mila laden unter dem Motto „50 Shades of Gay“ auf eine Reise in die Welt der unzähligen BDSM-Spielmöglichkeiten ein. Wer denkt, dass es dabei nur um Schmerzen geht, liegt falsch: In lockerer Atmosphäre lernt ihr, was frau mit verschiedensten Techniken so alles erle­ ben kann. Sowohl Paare als auch Singles sind willkommen. Keine Voranmeldung nötig.

If you think that BDSM only revolves around pain, you’re mistaken: Lady Dolores and Mila will show you the female-centric side of BDSM as well as its different varieties in a relaxed at­ mosphere. Nowadays, stencil art can be found all over the world, whether on walls, power boxes, poles or traffic lights. Jenny Saitzek invites you to take a closer look at stenciling and street art and to turn your own creative ideas into reality. Auf spielerische Art und Weise zeigt euch Raquel Braga, freiberufliche Musikerin und Musiklehrerin, wie ihr einfache Schlag-Techniken und Begleit-Rhythmen zu bekannten Liedern erlernen könnt.

SKATE & LONGBOARDING-WORKSHOP Mitzi und Sonja zeigen euch die Basics des Boardens: aufsteigen, pushen, lenken und bremsen. Auch erfahrene Rollbrett-Fah­ rerinnen sind eingeladen, mitzufahren und ihr eigenes Board mitzubringen.

Anfängerinnen können sich vor Ort ein Board ausleihen, allerdings ist die Anzahl dieser Boards begrenzt, weshalb gilt: Wer zuerst kommt, fährt mit! Bitte beachtet, dass beim Workshop Helmpflicht gilt, das Tragen von Knie- und Ellenbogen-Schüt­ zern wird ebenfalls empfohlen. Bringt gerne eigene Schutzausrüstung mit.

Heather Peace Seitdem Heather als lesbische Polizistin „Sam“ Murray in „Lip Service“ über den Bildschirm flimmerte, liegen ihr weltweit die Frauen zu Füßen. Doch nicht nur als Schauspielerin, sondern auch als LGBT-Aktivistin, Musikerin und Sängerin ist die englische Herzensbrecherin bekannt.

Gerade erschien ihre EP „Come Home“, so dass Heather euch zum Festival-Auftakt einige brandneue Songs präsentieren wird! Und auch in ihrer Rolle als unser diesjähriger Special Guest wird Heather Peace ihre Vielseitigkeit unter Beweis stellen, wenn sie als Co-Host neben Shirin Valentine durch das Programm im L-CIRCUS führen wird.

Ever since lesbian police officer “Sam” Murray has graced our TV screens in “Lip Service”, Heather Peace has turned the heads of women worldwide. Apart from working as an actress and being a dedicated LGBT rights activist, Heather is also an acclaimed musician: Her new EP “Come Home” was released just days ago, so look forward to some new songs from Heather to kick off L-BEACH #7! And over the course of the festival, Heather will once again prove her versatility as this year’s special guest and our co-host beside Shirin Valentine on the main stage of the L-CIRCUS.

TYNA – das ist feinster, alternativer Rock aus Hamburg.

TYNA stands for top notch alternative rock made in Hamburg. In March 2015, front woman Tina and her mates released their debut EP and currently TYNA are working on their first studio album. FILM & TALK: MÄNNER ZEIGEN FILME UND FRAUEN IHRE BRÜSTE (D 2013) Regisseurin Isabell Šuba hat es geschafft: Einer ihrer Kurzfilme läuft auf dem größten Filmfest der Welt in Cannes! Die anfängliche Freude wird schnell getrübt.

Statt rotem Teppich und Kaviar erwartet sie nur ihr chauvinistischer Produzent David und ein überbuchtes Hotel. Eine weitere Enttäuschung: Im offiziellen Wett­ bewerb läuft kein einziger Film einer Frau.

Isabell blickt der Realität ins Auge: Das steinzeitliche Rollenverständnis von David ist keine Ausnahme, sondern die Regel.

Die reale Filmemacherin Isabell Šuba machte 2012 aus ihrer Einladung nach Cannes ein neues Filmprojekt und gab ihre Identität dafür an Schauspielerin Anne Haug ab. Vor dem Film wird Isabell mit Susanne Billig über die Dreharbeiten und

neue weib­liche Vorbilder in der Filmindustrie sprechen.

Director Isabell Šuba has made it: One of her short films is showing at the largest film festival in the world. Yet the initial joy is soon dampened.

In Cannes, she only encounters her chauvinistic producer David and an overboo­ ked hotel instead of red-carpet glamour and caviar. A further disappoint­ ment: No single film made by a woman is running in the official competition. She has to look reality in the eye: David’s stone-age understanding of gender roles is not the exception, but the rule. Isabell Šuba, a real director, turned her invitation to Cannes into a new film project in 2012 by handing over her identity to actress Anne Haug. Before the screening, Isabell will talk with Susanne Billig about the filming process and new female role models in the film industry. In German.

VISIBILITY Wie werden lesbische und queere Frauen in der Öffentlichkeit gesehen – oder wollen sie gar nicht gesehen werden? Das Thema Visibility (zu Deutsch „Sichtbar­ keit“ oder auch „Präsenz“) ist immer noch ein vieldiskutiertes in allen Bereichen des öffentlichen Lebens. Warum müssen wir im Jahr 2016 immer noch darüber reden? Weil es immer noch nur wenige Frauen in Führungspositionen oder in der Politik gibt und frau oft auf der Strecke bleibt. Wollen wir unser Privatleben für uns behalten oder trauen wir uns nur nicht, uns zu zeigen wie wir sind? Diese und weitere Fragen diskutieren bei diesem von Susanne Billig moderierten Panel Filmregisseurin Isabell Šuba, die Kultur-Wissenschaftlerin Sarah-Mai Dang sowie die Szene-DJane GinaG und die Berliner Barbetreiberin Laura Maria Marsueschke – Beiträge aus dem Publikum sind ausdrücklich erwünscht!

How are lesbian and queer women recognized in public – or do they even want to be recognized?

Visibility is still a much-debated issue. Why do we even need to talk about it in 2016? Because there are still only a few women in leadership positions and women often still fall by the wayside. Do we deliberately keep our private life to ourselves? Or are we simply afraid to be who we are? In this panel, Susanne Billig tries to get to the bottom of these questions, together with director Isabell Šuba, cultural scientist Sarah-Mai Dang, DJ GinaG and Berlin-based bar owner Laura Maria Marsueschke – contributions from the audience are strongly encouraged!

SUSANNE BILLIG Die Biologin, Autorin und praktizierende Buddhistin Susanne Billig arbeitet als Rundfunk- und Fernsehjourna­ listin, z. B. für den WDR. Für das Drehbuch zum Film „Ver­ folgt“ gewann sie mit Angelina Maccarone den Goldenen Leoparden beim Filmfestival in Locarno. Susanne wird bei L-BEACH #7 durch das gesamte Campus-Programm im L-THEATER führen.

Berlin-based biologist, author and practicing buddhist Susanne Billig works as a radio and television journalist. In 2006, she won the Golden Leo­ pard for best screenplay at the Locarno Film Festival. At L-BEACH #7, Susanne will lead through the whole Campus program at the L-THEATER.

MOTTEN TRAGEN KEINEN HELM Existenzielle Schieflagen mit viel Humor zu schildern, da­ rin liegt Maren Elbrechtz’ besondere Stärke. Mit „Motten tragen keinen Helm. Roman übers Verlassenwerden“ legte sie ein starkes Debüt hin, in dem sie ihre Protagonistin Suza durch die verschiedenen „Trauer“-Phasen einer Tren­ nung schickt – herrlich selbstironisch und manchmal auch wunderbar skurril.

One of Maren Elbrechtz’ great ta­ lents is the humorous portrayal of existential imbalances.

With “Motten tragen keinen Helm” (“moths do not wear helmets”) she made a strong debut, in which protagonist Suza undergoes the various “mourning” phases after a separation. Deliciously ironic and sometimes wonderfully quirky. The reading will be in German.

Eines Tages entwickelt Henrike, die bisher in einer Langzeitbeziehung mit Judith lebte, eine beunruhigende Lust auf Affären, auch auf Männer. Es dauert etwas, bis Henrike rea­ lisiert, was sie wirklich umtreibt: der Wunsch nach einem Kind, physisch wie Hunger oder Durst. Ein offenes Buch über Sex, Liebe und das Leben mit Kleinkind.

One day, a disturbing desire for other people, including men, stirs within Henrike. It takes a while for the self-declared lesbian, living in a long-term relationship with Judith, to figure out what lies behind this: The desire for a child, physically strong like hunger or thirst. An open book about sex, love and life with a toddler. The reading will be in German.

Frage & Antwort Wann beginnt das Festival? | When does the festival start?

Start des diesjährigen Festivals ist am Donnerstag um 15 Uhr mit KARAOKE im L-DORA­ DO. Einchecken ist Donnerstag und Freitag jeweils ab 15 Uhr möglich. Das POOL PARA­ DISE steht ab Freitag 15 Uhr exklusiv für L-BEACH zur Verfügung, kann aber auch schon vorher genutzt werden.

The kick-off is Thursday at 3pm in L-DORADO with karaoke.

Check-in for all accommodation: Thursday and Friday from 3pm. The POOL PARADISE is booked exclusively for L-BEACH from Friday at 3pm, but may be used earlier.

Wann endet das Festival? | When does the festival end?

Sonntag bis spätestens 13 Uhr müssen die Schlüssel an der Rezeption zurückgegeben werden. Die Chill-Out Party am L-PIER endet Sonntag um 16 Uhr. Neu: Alle Angebote des Ferienparks Weissenhäuser Strand können noch den gesamten Sonntag genutzt werden.

Check-out is on Sunday by 1pm. The chill-out party at the L-PIER on Sunday ends at 4pm. All leisure activities of the holiday resort can be used all Sunday long.
