…und wir rollen im sechsten Jahr den roten Teppich für euch aus! Immer wieder erreichen uns im täglichen Vorbereitungswahnsinn bezaubernde Nachrichten und E-Mails mit eurem Feedback, die uns daran erinnern, für wen wir unser lieb gewonnenes Festival eigentlich jedes Jahr aufs Neue machen. Für euch, unser wunderbares Publikum! Mein Team und ich sagen danke an euch alle für die großartigen Anregungen, Kommentare und die Durchhalteparolen, wenn wir schon Wochen vor L-BEACH die Nächte an unseren Schreibtischen zum Tag machen! Nachdem ich letztes Jahr das Festival wegen einer unvorhergesehenen Bandscheiben-OP fast verpasst und die Tage vor Ort meist in Jogginghose in der Horizontalen verbracht habe, freue ich mich dieses Jahr umso mehr, mit euch gemeinsam wieder vier einzigartige, glamouröse Festivaltage zu feiern! GLAMOUR AT THE BEACH …we’ll roll out the red carpet for you in our sixth year! We have constantly received delightful messages and emails from you during the long days and short nights in the weeks prior to the festival. In this crazy run-up to the festival, this reminds us who we are actually organizing our beloved annual event for — just for you, our wonderful audience! My team and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for all the lovely feedback and encouraging support that we have al ready received, motivating us while at our office desks through to the crack of dawn. After nearly missing out on last year’s festival due to the sudden need for a vertebral disk operation, and having spent the days on site mostly horizontal, wearing sweat pants, I am really looking forward to celebrating four unique and glamorous festival days with you again this year!

Ladies und Ladies, willkommen zu den allerersten L-BEACH AWARDS! Im letzten Jahr haben wir unser erstes, kleines Jubiläum gefeiert. Und dieses Jahr setzen wir mit der sechsten L-BEACH-Ausgabe noch einen drauf! Vier Tage lang ist der Weissen häuser Strand wieder fest in weiblicher Hand: 14 großartige Live-Acts, internationale Top-DJs sowie ein abwechslungsreiches Kultur-, Sport- und Workshop-Programm erwarten euch! Natürlich haben wir dabei auch wieder jede Menge Neuigkeiten für euch ausgeheckt – und bringen mit der Verleihung der L-BEACH AWARDS einen Hauch von Hollywood an die Ostsee! Dafür sorgt auch unser diesjähriger Special Guest, Cathy DeBuono, die zusammen mit der unvergleichlichen Shirin Valentine durch das Programm im L-CIRCUS führen wird. Seid gespannt, welche Preisträger die beiden auf der großen Bühne begrüßen werden! Außerdem könnt ihr auf dem Festival-Gelände auf Schatzsuche gehen, eine wilde Casino-Nacht erleben – und vielleicht eure Traumfrau kennenlernen. Last year we celebrated our first little anniversary — and with this year’s sixth edition we will raise the stakes again! For four days the Weissenhäuser Strand is once again firmly in female hands: fourteen fabulous live acts, top-class DJs from all over the world, as well as a varied cultural, sports and workshop program await you! Of course, we have once again planned lots of new exciting things for you. And with the L-BEACH AWARDS we will bring a touch of Hollywood to the Baltic Sea! This year’s special guest, actress Cathy DeBuono will guide you through the award show in the L-CIRCUS, together with the unrivaled Shirin Valentine. So look out for who will receive an award on the big stage! What’s more, you can go treasure-hunting, experience a wild night at the casino — and perhaps meet the woman of your dreams. But no matter which aspects of the program make your heart beat faster, our nearly 100 crew members and helpers have once again put their shoulders to the wheel to ensure you will have an unforgettable L-BEACH experience. Foray through our own festival marketplace, have a chat with other guests and get much more than a breath of fresh air: The L-MARKET stands offer gifts big and small, while the information booths in the L-WALK provide information about community projects, organizations and associations. SPRAYEN, FLIRTEN, MIXEN UND MEHR. In diesem Jahr gibt es wieder neue, spannende Workshops im Campus-Programm, einige allerdings mit einer limitierten Teilnehmerinnenzahl. SEX-EDUCATION-WORKSHOP – Alles über Sex In diesem trans*phantas ab 18 ! tischen Workshop bekommt ihr Antworten auf alle eure (auch anonymen) Fragen und erfahrt so, was ihr schon immer über Sex wissen wolltet. Die versierten Fachkräfte Lube Skywalker und Katheter Kid reisen mit euch durch einen virtuellen Sex-Shop und geben Auskunft über Toys, Sexpraktiken, Safe Sex und die Do’s und Don’ts für einen erfolgreichen Sex-Shop-Besuch. Nachdem sich die Standard- und Latein tanzkurse beim letzten L-BEACH so großer Beliebtheit erfreut haben, gibt es dieses Jahr ein Wiedersehen mit Andrea Schlinkert: Am Donnerstag zeigt euch die erfahrene Tanzlehrerin aus Berlin erst das 1x1 in Sachen Rumba, Chacha und Tango, bevor das Erlernte dann beim Tanzabend gleich in die Praxis umgesetzt werden kann. Und am Freitag steht in der L-HALL erst alles im Zeichen des Disco Fox, bevor ihr unter Andreas Anleitung dann bei der Open Ballroom Session nach Lust und Laune mit verschiedenen Standardtänzen über das Parkett wirbeln könnt. Achtung: Pünktlich sein lohnt sich, da die Tanzkurse eine begrenzte Teilnehmerinnenzahl haben. Since so many of you enjoyed the Standard and Latin dance classes during last year’s L-BEACH,

Frage & Antwort. Wann beginnt das Festival? | When does the festival start? Start des Festivals ist am Donnerstag um 15 Uhr mit KARAOKE im L-DORADO. Einchecken ist Donnerstag und Freitag jeweils ab 15 Uhr möglich. Videoaufnahmen sind während des gesamten Festivals nicht gestattet. Ausnahmen sind angemeldete Kamerateams mit Drehgenehmigung. It is not permitted to shoot videos during the festival. Accredited camera teams with filming permission are the exception. Ist Fotografieren gestattet? | Is it permitted to take photographs? Es ist gestattet, mit normalen Kompaktkameras oder Handys zu fotografieren. Aus nahmen sind die L-HALL und der L-CIRCUS: Hier sind während der Live-Konzerte nur Fotos ohne Blitzlicht erlaubt, da Blitze die Künstler irritieren können. Profi-Kameras sind nicht gestattet. Für Presse-Akkreditierungen gibt es Sondergenehmigungen und Foto-Pässe. Photos with regular compact cameras or mobile phones are permitted. Professional cameras are not allowed. Please do not take photos with flash in the L-HALL or the L-CIRCUS during live performances: flashes can be disturbing for the artists on stage. For press accreditation there are special authorizations and photo passes.

Ist Rauchen erlaubt? | Is smoking permitted? Rauchen ist grundsätzlich nicht gestattet. Es gibt jedoch von allen Floors aus die Möglichkeit, in direkt angrenzende Raucherbereiche zu gelangen. Smoking is strictly prohibited. There are, however, special smoking areas directly adjacent to each dancefloor. Wie sind die Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten? | What are the catering options? Für Hotelgäste ist das Frühstück im Strandhotel inklusive. Alle Bungalow- und Apartmentgäste verfügen über eigene Küchen zur Selbstverpflegung. Im Restaurant Möwenbräu gibt es bis 14 Uhr Frühstück. Zusätzlich stehen für alle Gäste eine Vielzahl von Restaurants sowie ein Supermarkt zum Einkaufen zur Verfügung. Breakfast is included for guests staying at the Strandhotel. Bungalow and apartment guests have their own kitchens for self-catering. The Möwenbräu restaurant offers breakfast until 2pm. Am zentralen CHECK-IN sind all diejenigen richtig, die ein Apartment oder ein Tagesticket gebucht haben. Öffnungszeiten der Rezeption: Donnerstag und Freitag von 8 bis 22 Uhr, Samstag und Sonntag von 8 bis 19 Uhr. Gäste mit Hotelzimmer checken im Strandhotel ein, die Rezeption dort bietet einen 24 Stunden-Service. Check-in for apartments or day tickets is at the central reception. Reception opening hours: Thursday and Friday until 10pm, Saturday and Sunday from 8 am to 7 pm. If you’ve booked a hotel room please go directly to the Strandhotel, the reception service there is open 24 hrs.
