FÜNF L-BEACH FESTIVALS ...

… haben mein Leben mehr geprägt, als ich mir das damals vorstellen konnte, als aus einer verrückten Idee erst ein Planungs-Projekt und dann Realität wurde. In diesem Jahr feiern wir unser erstes kleines Jubiläum und ich freue mich sehr darauf, das mit einem tollen Programm, meinem wunderbaren Team, Weggefährtinnen wie BETTY und natürlich euch, den treuen L-BEACH Fans, zu tun! Unsere »On Tour«-Reihe hat uns mit vielen tollen Frauen und großartigen Projekten weltweit, von Israel bis in die USA, zusammengebracht, die uns beeindruckt und inspiriert haben. In meinem Kopf sind bereits wieder unzählige neue, ausgefallene und auch verrückte Ideen entstanden. Und bestimmt wird die eine oder andere davon bereits in den nächsten Jahren in die Tat umgesetzt. Ich freue mich jedenfalls auf die Zukunft und auf vier tolle Tage mit euch am Weissenhäuser Strand, die vor uns liegen! Five L-BEACH festivals have affected my life more than I could ever have imagined at the time, when a crazy idea turned into a drawing board project and then into reality. This year we’re celebrating our first tiny anniversary and I am very excited about our amazing programme, and about sharing this moment with my wonderful team members, my beloved companions, such as BETTY, and of course – first and foremost – with you, our loyal L-BEACH fans! During our “On Tour” series we met so many fascinat ing women and discovered numerous inspiring and impressive projects all over the world, spanning from Israel to the United States. I’ve already got a lot more new, fancy and also crazy ideas in my head. And one, two or more of them will surely come to life in the course of the next few years. I’m very much looking forward to the future and to the four amazing days at Weissenhäuser Strand ahead of us!

Zum fünften Mal treffen sich in diesem Jahr am Weissenhäuser Strand fast viertausend Frauen, um gemeinsam vier Tage volles Programm zu genießen. 14 Konzerte mit tollen Live-Acts, an die 20 internationale DJs, die von mittags an bis in die frühen Morgenstunden auflegen, ein Kultur- und Workshop-Programm mit spannenden Themen und Gästen, dazu Sport und Spaß auf dem ganzen Gelände, exklusiv für L-BEACH. Das gibt es sonst nirgends! Mehr als 100 Crew-Mitarbeiter und Helfer geben sich jedes Jahr die größte Mühe, euch ein tolles Festival zu bieten. Wie gefällt

For the fifth time almost four thousand women gather again this year at Weissen häuser Strand to enjoy four days filled with fun and activity. 14 concerts with fantastic live acts, close to 20 DJs from all over the world, spinning tunes from noon until the early morning hours, cultural activities and workshops with exciting topics and guests, topped off with sports and amusement all over the compound. All that for L-BEACH exclusively – this cannot be had anywhere else! More than one hundred crew members and volunteers will be giving their very best to offer you a great festival. Be it in the completely renovated wellness area, in one of the pools on several levels, in the jacuzzi or at the bar. 7000 sqm of pool landscape invite you to have a fling. We have just the solution for you: take a stroll around our L-MARKET, where you can get souvenirs in all colours, shapes and sizes and meet up for a chat with other L-BEACH guests. SOLIDARITÄT ÜBER DEN ÄQUATOR Nicht überall auf der Welt können Lesben so entspannt miteinander feiern, leben und lieben wie wir bei L-BEACH. Deshalb unterstützen wir in diesem Jahr die Frauenstiftung filia und das Projekt CAL in Afrika. filia und der LSVD arbeiten mit der südafrikanischen Aktivistin Dawn Cavanagh und ihren Mitstreiterinnen von der Coalition of African Lesbians (CAL) an der wichtigen Vernetzung lesbischer, bisexueller Frauen und Transgender in Subsahara-Afrika (Botswana, Namibia, Sambia und Simbabwe). Spendet für CAL und sendet mit uns am Sonntag solidarische Grüße nach Afrika beim großen Abschluss-Moment am Strand. Not everywhere in the world can lesbians live, celebrate and love as freely and relaxedly as we can here at L-BEACH. We are therefore this year supporting the women’s foundation “filia” and the African project “CAL”. Together with South African activist, Dawn Cavanagh, and her fellow campaigners, filia and the LSVD (Lesbian and Gay Association of Germany) are collaborating closely with the CAL project in Africa. CAL stands for Coalition of African Lesbians, and is a networking organisation for lesbians, bisexual women and trans*people in sub-Saharan Africa (Botswana, Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe). Fünf lesbische Siegerinnen und Finalistinnen europäischer Casting-Shows auf einer Bühne – das hat es noch nicht gegeben! Lucy Diakovska (2000 mit No Angels Gewinnerin Popstars, 2012 Jury Popstars), Steffi List (2008 Finalistin bei Stefan Raabs SSDSDSSWEMUGABRTLAD), Sarah Skaalum Jørgensen (2011 Gewinnerin X-Factor Dänemark), FreshKid (2012 Finalistin The Next Pop Talent Niederlande) und Judith van Hel (2013 Finalistin The Voice of Germany) eröffnen am Samstag das Programm im L-CIRCUS. Besonders freuen wir uns im Jubiläumsjahr natürlich auf Lucy, die bei L-BEACH #1 schon als Moderatorin bei uns war. Five lesbian winners and finalists from European casting shows together on one stage – for the first time ever! Lucy Diakovska, Steffi List, Sarah Skaalum Jørgensen, FreshKid and Judith van Hel will open the programme in the L-CIRCUS on Saturday. We are especially thrilled by the return of Lucy, since she was one of our presenters at the very first L-BEACH in 2010. L-STARS CASTING SHOW Am Freitag stellen sich zehn L-BEACH Gäste unserer Star-Jury, die zunächst drei Kandidatinnen für den Recall bestimmen wird. Gemeinsam mit dem Publikum wird dann die Siegerin gekürt, die am Samstag mit den Casting L-STARS im L-CIRCUS auftreten darf. Aufgepasst: Neun Teilnehmerinnen des Castings wählen wir vorab aus, eine zehnte kann am Freitag spontan dabei sein. Du kannst gut singen? Dann komm vorbei und bewirb dich! On Friday ten L-BEACH guests will stand in front of our celebrity jury for a singing competition. The jury will pick out three girls, who will have to prove themselves again in the recall. Together with the audience, the jury will then choose the winner, who gets the opportunity to join the Casting L-STARS live on stage in the L-CIRCUS on Saturday. Our wakeboard expert Leslie Harrington will be on location to show you tricks and make beginners lose their fear – Friday from 1pm to 6pm and Saturday from 11am to 6pm.

Mit Bartkleber gegen das Patriarchat“) helfen euch in diesem Workshop euer männliches Alter Ego zu entdecken und zu inszenieren. In this workshop, two experts on gender matters, Moritz G. (Kingz of Berlin) and Tania Witte (known for her book “Drag Kings. Fighting patriarchy with artificial beards”), will help you discover and release your male alter ego. LESUNG KAREN-SUSAN FESSEL stellt ihren nagelneuen Roman „Bronko, meine Frau Mutter und ich“ vor. Diese Tragikomödie über Zweibeiner und Vierbeiner führt zu schicksalshaften Begegnungen in einer Tierarztpraxis und auf eine Reise mit Überraschungen in die Schweiz. Moderation: Dr. Claudia Thieme. Karen-Susan Fessel will present her brand new novel “Bronko, meine Frau Mutter und ich”: A tragicomedy about two and four-legged creatures, fateful encounters at the veterinary and a trip to Switzerland with a twist. Seitdem hat die Musikerin ihr Publikum auf unzähligen Live-Konzerten begeistert und sich für soziale Projekte engagiert. Aktuell arbeitet sie an ihrer neuen Platte, die in Kürze erscheinen wird. In 2008 Steffi List made many fans when she appeared on a German casting show, finishing third thanks to the viewers’ voting. Since then the musician has played countless live shows while still finding time to get actively involved in social projects – and working on her newest record.

YAEL DECKELBAUM: Musik, die unter die Haut geht. Die Medien feiern sie seit geraumer Zeit als die israelische Joni Mitchell. Bereits mit sechzehn Jahren gewann Yael Deckelbaum die Auszeichnung als beste Nachwuchs-Singer-Songwriterin Israels. Eindrucksvoll hat sich die Musikerin in die Herzen ihres Publikums gespielt. Ob als Solo-Künstlerin, oder als Teil der Frauen-Band „HaBanot Nechama“. She’s been celebrated in the media as the Israeli Joni Mitchell for quite some time. Ist Rauchen erlaubt? | Is smoking permitted? Rauchen ist grundsätzlich nicht gestattet. Es gibt jedoch von allen Floors aus die Möglichkeit, in direkt angrenzende Raucherbereiche zu gelangen. Smoking is strictly prohibited. There are, however, special smoking areas which are connected directly to each floor. Wie sind die Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten? | What are the catering options? Für Hotelgäste ist das Frühstück im Strandhotel inklusive. Alle Bungalow- und Apartmentgäste verfügen über eigene Küchen zur Selbstverpflegung. Im Passat gibt es bis 14 Uhr Frühstück.
