Ladies, die Festival-Saison ist eröffnet: Künstlerinnen und Gäste aus aller Welt reisen erneut zum Weissenhäuser Strand, um L-BEACH #3 zu einem unvergesslichen Erlebnis zu machen. Die tolle, nicht abnehmende und extrem positive Resonanz hat uns das Jahr über begleitet und sehr motiviert, viele eurer Wünsche umzu setzen. Eine Zeit voller Planungen und Vor bereitungen liegt hin ter uns – das Ergebnis „passiert“ jetzt, im April 2012: 4.000 Frauen erlebnisse, von denen wir selbst nur einen Bruchteil mitbekommen. Daher schreibt uns gerne, was ihr persönlich in diesen Tagen erlebt. Ein aufregendes und fantastisches Festival wünschen euch Claudia und das gesamte L-BEACH Team! Your immense, never-decreasing support and extremely positive feedback has accompanied us for yet another year and continually encourages us to make your wishes come true. The planning now lies behind us – and the result is falling into place right at this moment. 4,000 women’s individual experiences, of which we only get a glimpse. Die Fakten: über 30 Grad, 7000 m2 Fläche, Pools über mehrere Etagen, riesige Wasser rutschen mit oder ohne Reifen, 400 m2 Wasserspiellandschaft, Whirlpool, Bars, Saunen, viel Wasser und nackte Haut. All das erwartet euch im POOL PARADISE . Und das Beste: Von Freitagnachmittag bis Samstagabend gehört der Poolbereich ausschließlich euch – unseren L-BEACH Gästen. Wo ihr am Freitag noch smooth in das Wochenende starten könnt, erwartet euch am Samstagnachmittag unsere Poolparty. Dieses Jahr teilen sich gleich drei DJs die Plattenteller: Den Anfang macht die Hamburgerin Shari Who?, die euch mit ihrem „Muschi pop“ in Fahrt bringt, bevor sie von der angesagten New Yorker House-DJ Whitney Day abgelöst wird. Abschließend taucht Miss Betty Ford die Wasserland schaft dann so richtig schön tief ins Elektro. Das begleitende, heiß-feuchte Spielespektakel moderiert die Enter tainerin Vera Viehöfer. T he facts: more than 30 degrees Celcius, 7000 sqm, pools on several levels, huge waterslides with or without hoops, a water playland of 400 sqm, jacuzzi, sauna, bars, a lot of water and bare skin everywhere you look. That’s what to expect at the POOL PARADISE . Best of all: the pool area is reserved

exclusively for L-BEACH guests from Friday afternoon and all through Saturday. Start the weekend relaxing by the pool on Friday and enjoy our pool party on Saturday. This year three DJs will spin the vinyl. Sexy DJ Shari Who? from Hamburg will heat you up with her “Muschipop”, followed by one of the hippest New Yorker DJs, Whitney Day and her fantastic house mixes. Finally, you can look forward to deep techno from the amazing Miss Betty Ford. Your entertainer, Vera Viehöfer, is in charge of the animation, so get ready to join in with her hot and wet pool games.

L-Beach WALK OF FAME , SHOPPING , DRINKING & MEETING. Kein Ort bei L-BEACH ist so vielseitig wie die Galeria – während des Festivals besser bekannt als der L-WALK . Hier trifft man die Festival-Stars auf dem roten Teppich, lässt sich den Namen seiner neuesten Bekanntschaft auf den Arm brushen, ersteht zur Erinnerung ein L-BEACH T-Shirt im L-BEACH Shop und kann am Stand von „Pink Ribbon Deutsch land“ ganz nebenbei noch etwas Gutes für die Brustkrebs-Hilfe tun. Geschafft von all dem Trubel, können sich die Be sucherinnen dann ganz entspannt in einer der vielen gastronomischen Lokalitäten zurücklehnen und dem bunten Treiben bei einem guten Essen und dem ein oder anderen Cocktail zusehen. Auch auf dem Weg zu den Partys kommt man am L-WALK nicht vorbei: er führt zu allen Locations. In diesem Jahr ebenso wieder geöffnet: Unser L-MARKET – Treffpunkt für alle, die auch gerne unter freiem Himmel shoppen.

There you can meet your stars on the Red Carpet, you can get the name of your new acquaintance airbrushed on your body, shop for L-BEACH souvenirs and donate for the breast cancer charity at the “Pink Ribbon Deutschland” booth. To recover from all the turmoil you might find yourself sitting in one of the various bars, bistros and restaurants watching the buzz of activity while enjoying a good meal and having a cocktail, or more. AUF DAS BOARD, FE RTIG

Mädels, haltet euch fest – und das im wahrsten Sinne des Wortes! Ab diesem Jahr ist das L-BEACH Festival um eine sportliche Attraktion reicher: Die Wakeboard- und Wasserskianlage im Columbus Park. Auf rund 30.000 m2 Fläche und 600 m Fahr strecke heißt es ab sofort: „An die Seilwinde, fertig, Abfahrt!“ Wo einst noch Brücken über das Wasser führten und Besucher in Ruhe paddelten, können seit Frühjahr 2012 Fun-Sport Begeisterte auf Wakeboard, Kneeboard, Wakeskate, Wasserski und Monoski ihre Runden drehen. Nur wenige Aktivitäten verkörpern auf so trendige Weise den Lifestyle von Sport, Spaß, Mode und Freizeit – also genau das Richtige für unser Festival. Wakeboarden und Wasserskifahren sind an der Seilbahn leichter zu erlernen als man denkt. Im Gegensatz zum Motorboot wird dort von einer Rampe aus gestartet, was die starken Zugkräfte beim Wasserstart vermeidet. Und damit am Anfang auch nichts schief geht, stehen euch erfahrene Helfer zur Seite. Material wie Boards und Neopren könnt ihr direkt vor Ort ausleihen. Ob beim Volleyball, Fußball oder Beach Ball: Party-Stimmung ist garantiert! Girls, hold on tight – in the truest sense of the word. The L-BEACH festival has gained a sporting attraction: a wake boarding and waterskiing facility at the Columbus Park. An area of 30,000 s qm, 600 m long provides you with a new motto: “To the winch, ready, go!” Where once bridges lead over water and visitors had time to paddle in peace, fun sport enthusiasts can find their true calling on wakeboards, kneeboards, wakeskates, waterski or monoski. It is easier to learn wakeboarding and waterskiing on a winch

than you think. In contrast to a motor boat you start directly on a ramp which helps to avoid the strong traction force at the start. Exp e rienced helpers will be around at all times to make sure that nothing goes wrong. You can borrow equipment like boards and neoprene suits on site. TIP: Exclusively for our L-BEACH guests, one of our experienced wakeboard ladies, Leslie Harrington, will be getting on her board and answering your wakeboarding questions, Friday 1 pm–5 pm and Sunday 10 am–6 pm. Auch in diesem Jahr werden auf der Bühne des L-THEATER wieder rasante Texte ausgewählter Teilnehmerinnen im direkten Wettstreit vor großem Publikum präsentiert. Ob romantisch, erotisch oder witzig – solange das Thema „GIRLS LOVE MUSIC, FUN & HOLIDAYS!“ ist, sind der Kreativität beim Schreiben und Vortragen keine Grenzen gesetzt. Die Kandidatinnen haben in der ersten Runde exakt drei Minuten, um die Zufalls-Jury im Publikum zu überzeugen. In public, students Atafeh and Shirin both seem to fit into the official way of life in Teheran, but in their underground existence they visit secret parties, experience sex & drugs, dance to techno music and dream of liberty. Atafeh’s liberal family has managed to give both of them a shelter against the morality police. However, when Atafeh’s brother, Mehran, returns home from a drug withdrawal centre where he has been turned to religious fundamentalism, Atafeh’s liberty is put to a hard test. Even more so when Mehran recognises that there is more than just friendship between her and Shirin. Sharayet is the first feature film of the US-American-Iranian filmmaker Maryam Keshavarz, who will comment on this exciting life story and the background to her film in person. Charlotte Reuscher, 39, is the editor of the programme brochure for the “Hamburg International Queer Film Festival”, (Hamburg Lesbisch Schwule Filmtage). Her focus lies on films that deal with the situation of LGBTI people in other countries, since “not everybody is as lucky and lives as freely as we do in Germany.” In her other life, Charlotte is a journalist and works for both a local kino | cinema L-THEATER newspaper and in public relations. charity: DONATE & GLOW! L-BEACH #3 verspricht auch in diesem Jahr wieder jede Menge Spaß und Party. Dennoch möchten wir auch die dritte Aus gabe des Festivals dafür nutzen, um ein Thema zu unterstützen, das uns sehr am Herzen liegt und auf das wir gemeinsam mit Pink Ribbon Deutschland aufmerksam machen wollen: die Brustkrebs-Charity. Die rosa Schleife „Pink Ribbon“ steht welt weit als Symbol für Engagement gegen Brustkrebs. Ziel der Sensibilisierungs kampagne Pink Ribbon Deutschland ist es, das Bewusstsein für Brustkrebs-Früh erkennung zu stärken. Denn bei kaum einer anderen Krebserkrankung ist die Früh erkennung für Heilungschancen so wichtig. Und deshalb lautet das Motto für 2012: „Brustkrebs-Früherken nung kann Leben retten. Auch mein eigenes.“

Die Aktion L-BEACH möchte auch dieses Jahr wieder Geld sammeln, das der Aufklärungsarbeit von Pink Ribbon Deutschland zugutekommt. Zusätzlich zum Info-Stand, den ihr wie gewohnt im L-WALK findet, werden diverse Goodies verkauft. Meine lesbische Biergrafie Diana Knezevic wählte den provokanten Titel für die Sammlung köstlicher „biergrafischer“ Kurzgeschichten ganz bewusst: „Wer sich davon abschrecken lässt, sollte tunlichst die Finger vom Inhalt lassen.“ Dabei ist das Werk alles andere als Ballermann-Literatur. Die Autorin führt mit einem Gemisch aus Überheblichkeit und Ironie durch einen lesbischen Alltag, der oft derart absurde Storys hervorbringt, dass man kaum glauben kann, sie seien tatsächlich geschehen. Diana Knezevic consciously chose a provocative title for her collection of delicious “beergraphic” short stories. “Anyone who could be scared off, should be aware of the content.” At the same time her work is anything but drink-til-youdrop literature. The author dissects lesbian daily routine in a sometimes over bearing but also incredibly ironical manner. Considering all the absurdities that occur, it’s sometimes hard to believe that these stories ever really happened.

Wo Freitagabend noch „Schatzi, schenk mir ein Foto“ gespielt wird und „Cowboy und Indianer“ um die Wette tanzen, lässt Samstagabend angesagter Electro-Sound die Erde erbeben. Unter gebracht im sogenannten Rondell, ist der L-CLUB eine Location für sich. Am Tag noch Anlaufstelle fürs Wachradeln oder Minigolfspielen, erwacht er abends zur Insider-Location. Speziell Samstagnacht: denn auch dieses Jahr steht hier wieder DJ Elektro-Ikone Jennifer Cardini hinter den Turntables. Two music styles, one location: the L-CLUB.
