#lbeachforever... ...ist unser Motto für das achte Festival, denn die perfekt geformte Zahl „8“ steht in der Numerologie für Unendlichkeit. Und wir sind ganz sicher, dass die Erlebnisse, Erinnerungen und der besondere Spirit von L-BEACH uns allen für immer erhalten bleiben werden – auch wenn das Festival in dieser Form zunächst zum letzten Mal stattfindet. GIRLS LOVE MUSIC FUN HOLIDAYS ist ein großartiges Konzept, aber die Welt verändert sich und auch wir wollen uns die Chance geben, uns neu zu erfinden. Ihr dürft gespannt sein, was uns einfällt und noch mehr, was euch jetzt in den vier Festival-Tagen im Mai erwartet. Entdeckt im Booklet eure persönlichen Highlights, und wer mit uns am Ende gemeinsam einen Rückblick auf die vergangenen L-BEACHJahre vor und hinter den Kulissen werfen will, ist herzlich eingeladen zum Film + Talk-Programm „Farewell L-BEACH – #lbeachforever“ am Sonntag im L-THEATER. ...is our motto for the eighth L-BEACH festival, because in numerology, the perfectly formed number ‘8’ stands for infinity. And we are sure that all the experiences, memories and the special spirit of L-BEACH will be preserved within all of us forever – even if this year is the final edition of our festival, at least in this form. GIRLS LOVE MUSIC FUN HOLIDAYS is still a great concept, but the world is changing and we want to use the chance to reinvent ourselves. You may whet your curiosity about our latest ideas and even more so about what awaits you in the four festival days now ahead of us! MEER UND MEHR | THE SEA AND MORe Ostseeromantik und Meerblick gibt es bei L-BEACH inklusive! Denn nur einen Steinwurf vom Festivalgelände entfernt, gleich hinter den Dünen, erstreckt sich ein kilometerlanger, traumhaft schöner Sandstrand! Feiert mit uns eine Beachparty, wie sie im Buche steht, tanzt mit den Füßen im Sand und lasst euch die Ostseeluft um die Nase wehen! Wenn ihr es auch am Strand gerne sportlich mögt, könnt ihr euch beim L-BEACH Bootcamp oder bei einer Runde Beach-Volleyball verausgaben! Ihr könnt natürlich aber auch einfach relaxen, die Seele baumeln lassen oder euch mit anderen Besucher*innen zu kühlen Drinks und heißen Beats am L-PIER verabreden! Dort werden Turbodisko 3000 am Samstagnachmittag den L-PIER mit ihrem Mix aus Hip-Hop, Soul, Pop, Funk und ausgesuchten All-Time-Favourites zum Beben und eure Hüften zum Schwingen bringen! A romantic setting including a view of the Baltic Sea is part and parcel of L-BEACH! Only a stone’s throw away from the festival grounds, just behind the dunes, lies a beautiful sandy beach, that stretches for more than over a mile! IMPROKÖNIGIN Billa Christe hat unzählige Facetten! Das hat sie bei L-BEACH bereits eindrucksvoll bewiesen und wurde dafür von euch auf Händen getragen! Getreu dem Motto „Mit Power ins Festival“ wird Billa dieses Jahr die L-HALL eröffnen und zeigt euch am Freitag im Strandhotel, wie ihr schlagfertiger im Alltag reagieren könnt. Samstag gibt Billa ihre fulminante „One-Woman-Show“ zum Besten – und vielleicht erlebt ihr sie ja noch hautnah in einer anderen Rolle... Billa Christe has many facets to offer! She already proved this at L-BEACH last year when she was triumphantly carried by you through the L-HALL at the end of her show! True to the motto “Full speed ahead into the festival”, Billa will be this year’s opening act on Thursday. On Friday, she will teach you how to react more quick-wittedly in everyday life, before giving one of her brilliant “one-woman-shows” on Saturday! TRANS*NORMAL Es gibt Menschen, die sich nicht oder nur zum Teil mit dem Geschlecht identifizieren, das ihnen bei Geburt zugewiesen wurde. Unter „Trans*“ versteht man dabei unter anderem transgender, transgeschlechtliche, transidente, transsexuelle, gender non-konforme, gender-queere oder weder-noch Menschen. Oft scheint es jedoch Berührungsängste bei diesem Thema zu geben. Um dem entgegenzuwirken, lädt Moderatorin Annie Heger unter dem Motto „Trans*Normal“ zum offenen Dialog ins L-THEATER ein: Dieser beginnt mit der Dokumentation „Jenseits von Rosa und Hellblau“. Danach präsentiert Special Guest Jen Richards ihre Web-Serie „Her Story“ und

widmet sich im Talk mit Annie und der Journalistin und Wissenschaftlerin Michaela D eininger außerdem Fragen nach Geschlechter-Stereotypen und Gleichberechtigung. Ebenfalls beim Talk dabei sind Tubbe-Sänger Henri und der Autor Bennet Bialojahn, der auch aus seinem Krimi „Trans*Later“ lesen wird. Beiträge aus dem Publikum sind bei diesem spannenden Schwerpunktthema ausdrücklich erwünscht!
There are people who do not at all or only partially
identify with the gender they were allocated at birth. The umbrella term “Trans*” subsumes transgender, transsexual, trans-ident, gender non-conform, gender queer or neither-nor people. Even today, there still seem to exist certain fears to touch on these topics. Counteracting this, host Annie Heger invites you to an open dialogue at the L-THEATER, whose motto is “Trans*normal”: It begins with the documentary “Beyond Pink and Light Blue”, after which special guest Jen Richards will present her web series “Her Story”. Thereafter, Jen, Annie and the journalist and scientist Michaela Deininger will discuss topics such as equality, gender stereotypes and -constructions. Also present for this talk: Tubbe singer Henri and the Cologne-based author Bennet Bialojahn, who will also read from his book “Trans*later“. FILM + TALK: DIFFERENT FOR GIRLS Was passiert mit LGBTQ*Menschen und -Pärchen, die erwachsen werden und Familien gründen? Worum kreisen ihre Themen im Alltag, in der Liebe oder der Freizeit? Diesen Gedanken geht die brandneue Web-Dramaserie „Different for Girls“ nach, die auf dem gleichnamigen Buch von Jacquie Lawrence basiert. Wir zeigen im L-THEATER alle fünf Folgen der Web-Soap – hintereinander weg und als Deutschland-Premiere! Mittelpunkt der Serie ist eine Gruppe lesbischer und bisexueller Frauen und schwuler Männern in London, deren Leben sich um Kinder, Ehe und sogar Scheidung drehen. Das bedeutet aber nicht, dass Feiern, Drogen oder Sex keine Rolle mehr spielen – nur nicht in Anwesenheit der eigenen Partner*in oder der Kinder. TALK: BODY TALK Wir alle kennen das Gefühl, an unserem Körper etwas auszusetzen zu haben. Woher aber kommt dieses vermeintlich ideale Körperbild? Und wie kommen wir wieder mit unserem Körper ins Reine? Darüber spricht Moderatorin Annie Heger in diesem „Body Talk“ mit ihren Gästen.
