Auf in die zweite Runde!

Unglaublich: Schon ein ganzes Jahr ist vergangen und wir verarbeiten immer noch die vielen Eindrücke von L-BEACH #1. Die Auswirkungen der Vulkanwolke aber auch viele tolle Erlebnisse haben das erste Festival geprägt, was uns zahlreiche Mails, Fotos und YouTube Videos bewiesen haben – vielen Dank allen für die bunte Nachlese! Auch für dieses Jahr haben wir ein vielfältiges Programmpaket geschnürt und dabei euer Feedback berücksichtigt. Alle Infos zu L-BEACH #2 findet ihr in diesem Booklet. Our tip: get dressed in your hottest beachwear right after your arrival on Friday – the first 50 guests at the pool party on Friday will get a drink for free! On Friday the single ladies can have a hot L-BEACH flirt during the speed-dating on the slides or at one of the paradise bars.

Saturday afternoon is Pool Party time again, starting with a sexy underwear fashion show by Superschlüpfer/Berlin, continuing with the big style slide contest, all accompanied by great DJs at the turntables and our lovely presenter, Vera Viehöfer. Sehen und gesehen werden heißt es in der Galeria des Weissenhäuser Strandes, die genau im Zentrum des Festivalgeländes liegt und Dreh- und Angelpunkt des Geschehens ist. Wie verbindet Frau im Jahr der Weltmeisterschaft in Deutschland das Thema Fußball mit L-BEACH? Ganz einfach: Man nehme den Ostseestrand direkt vor der Tür, gute DJs, erfrischende Drinks und mixe das Ganze mit FußballFun-Elemen­ten und fertig ist der SOCCER BEACH. Kick mit deinen Freundinnen als menschliche Figur im Human Table Soccer in den Sonnenuntergang oder starte ein klei­nes Turnier an den über­­dachten Kickertischen. So oder so – der SOCCER BEACH wird der Beweis dafür, dass Fußball schon lange keine Männerdomäne mehr ist. Let’s kick it!

How do you combine football with L-BEACH in the year of the Women’s World Cup in Germany? It’s simple! Special zum Thema Karriere – denn das Leben besteht nicht nur aus „Music, Fun & Holidays“. Im L-THEATER vermittelt Marion Knaths in ihrem unterhaltsamen Vortrag zunächst wertvolle Verhaltenstipps im männerdominiertem Arbeitsalltag.

Im anschließenden Career Talk diskutiert Moderatorin Sandra Herz mit spannenden Gästen auf dem Podium. | In German.

Marion Knaths coacht und trainiert heute nach eigener steiler Kar­riere Frauen in Füh­rungspo­ sitionen. In ihrem Vortrag „Spiele mit der Macht“ enttarnt sie, wie in ihrem gleichnamigen Buch, die Spiel­ regeln machtvoller Kommunikation und zeigt mit einem Augenzwinkern, wie Frauen diese Regeln für sich nutzen können. Im An­­schluss gibt es Gelegenheit zum Dialog.

After a successful management career, Marion Knaths today coaches women in leadership positions. Her bestseller “Spiele mit der Macht” (Games of Power) reveals the rules of powerful business communication and points out how women can take an active part in this game. Her keynote speech will offer interesting insights, while simultaneously seeking to inspire and entertain.

Der erste L-BEACH Poetry Slam mit rasanten Text-Präsenta­ tionen ausgewählter Teilnehmerinnen. Viele Frauen haben sich mit selbstgeschriebenen Texten aller Genres zum Thema „Music, Girls, Fun & Holidays!“ beworben. Nun geht es am Weissenhäuser Strand ums Ganze und die Gunst des hoffentpoetry slam lich großen Publikums im L-THEATER . Die bekannte Berliner SpokenWord-Performerin CayaTe wird den Abend mit einer eigenen Performance – natürlich außer Konkurrenz – eröffnen und anschließend den Wettbewerb moderieren. Die Kandidatinnen haben in der ersten Runde exakt drei Minuten, um die Jury zu überzeugen. Die drei Mädels mit der höchsten Punktzahl ziehen ins Finale ein, das durch ein Stechen entschieden wird. Tania Witte Die Berliner Schrift­­ stellerin und Jour­ na­­listin liest aus ihrem ersten Roman „beziehungsweise liebe“. Eine span­ nen­de Geschichte mitten aus dem Berliner Szene-Alltag, bei der man bis zum Ende gespannt sein darf, wer mit wem und warum eigentlich.

The writer and journalist from Berlin presents her brand new novel “beziehungs­ ­weise liebe”, a wonderful story about trials and tribulations in the queer community in Berlin (the reading is in German).

Mirjam Müntefering Auf dem Parkett einer Tanzschule spielt sich in weiten Teilen der neue Roman „Taktgefühle“ der bekannten Autorin Mirjam Müntefering ab. In der Lesung erfahrt ihr, wie Tiffy ihr Tanztrauma überwindet, welche Auswirkungen TangoArgentino auf das Liebesleben haben kann und ob Mirjam Müntefering selber

tanzen kann.

Ballroom dancing plays an important role in the new novel of well-known writer Mirjam Müntefering.

Her reading will reveal how Tiffy manages to get over her dancing trauma, what impact Tango-Argentino could have on her love life – and if Mirjam Müntefering knows how to dance herself.

Moderation: Claudia Thieme Die Hamburgerin studierte Anglistik/ Amerikanistik, deutsche Literaturwissenschaft und Philosophie in Kiel und Bloomington, Indiana/USA . Sie arbeitet bundesweit als freie Film Producerin und moderierte schon bei L-BEACH #1 kom­ petent die Lesungen.

Claudia Thieme studied Anglistics/American studies, German literature and philosophy in Kiel and Bloomington, Indiana/ USA. Nowadays she works as film producer all over Germany. Original stock footage shows the great personalities and fascinating performances of the female bands and soloists.

Anat Nir, Mitorganisatorin des Lethal Lesbian Film Festivals aus Tel Aviv, ist zu Gast mit vier Filmen und gibt uns einen spannenden Einblick in das lesbische Leben in Israel. Unter anderem lernen wir Ruth Selwyn und ihre zauberhafte Animationsfigur ‚Lizzy the Lezzy‘ kennen, die durch YouTube weltweit bereits jede Menge Fans hat. With the support of the Tel Aviv Municipality we are happy to present the Lethal Lesbian Film Festival at L-BEACH. With your help L-BEACH wants to collect money to donate to Susan G. Komen Germany. We have charity actions planned for the whole festival weekend: from the grand opening on Friday evening, where our team in pink shirts will be on site to sell goodies for the charity, to

the Susan G . Komen information desk on the L-WALK during the day, which is where you can find out about the association and about current preventive and therapy options. On Sunday at about 1pm the grand finale of the festival will take place directly on the pier: be a part and watch hundreds of pink balloons fly away in all directions as a message to the world, while the cheque with the collected money is handed to a representative of Susan G .

Am Freitag heißt es hier „FLOWERPOWER “. Bei der Schlager-Mottoparty könnt ihr mit oder ohne Perücke bis in die Morgen­ stunden feinsten Schlager frisch von den Plattentellern genießen. My Normal von Irving Schwartz Wenn Natalie durch die Straßen der Lower East Side geht und die tollen Frauen in den heißesten Clubs der Stadt ihr zu Füßen liegen, denkt man, dass sie mit Männern eigentlich nichts zu schaffen hat. Doch das Gegenteil ist der Fall: Natalie arbeitet als Domina und züchtigt Männer in HighHeels und knappen Lederoutfits.

Purple Hand, its origins San Francisco October 31st 1969 : sixty members of the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) and the Society for Individual Rights (SIR) staged a protest at San Francisco’s Examiner in response to another in a series of news articles disparaging LGBT people in San Francisco’s gay bars and clubs. The peaceful protest against the “homophobic editorial policies” of the Examiner turned tumultuous and were later called “Friday of the Purple Hand” and “Bloody Friday of the Purple Hand”. Examiner employees dumped a bag of printers ink from the third story window of the newspaper building onto the crowd. The protestors used the ink to scrawl ‘Gay Power’ and other slogans on the building walls and stamp purple hand prints throughout downtown San Francisco resulting in one of the most visible demonstrations of ‘Gay Power’.

Ist Fotografieren gestattet? | Is it permitted to take photographs? Es ist gestattet mit normalen Kompaktkameras oder Handys zu fotografieren. Ausnahmen sind die L-HALL und L-CIRCUS: Hier sind während der Live-Konzerte nur Fotos ohne Blitzlicht erlaubt, da Blitze die Künstler irritieren können. Profi-Kameras sind nicht ge­­ stattet. Für Presse-Akkreditierungen gibt es Sondergenehmigungen und Foto-Pässe.

Breakfast is included for hotel guests at the beach hotel. Bungalow and apartment guests have their own kitchens for self-catering. The Passat offers breakfast until 2 pm. 13 | POOL PARADISE Das tropische Badeparadies ist Freitagnachmittag und Samstag exklusiv für L-BEACH-Gäste reserviert, neben den Pool Partys (S. 8) gibt es auch viele Möglichkeiten, sich einfach zu entspannen.

The tropical Pool Paradise is exclusively reserved for L-BEACH guests on Friday afternoon and the whole of Saturday.

Apart from the pool parties (p. 8), this is also a good place to hang out and relax. // Eintritt frei (free entry); Fr. 15–19, Sa. 9.30–19.00 nur für Frauen (women only); So. ab 9.30 für alle Be­­sucher geöffnet (open for everybody).
