Auf in die zweite Runde! Unglaublich: Schon ein ganzes Jahr ist vergangen und wir verarbeiten immer noch die vielen Eindrücke von L-BEACH #1. Die Auswirkungen der Vulkanwolke aber auch viele tolle Erlebnisse haben das erste Festival geprägt, was uns zahlreiche Mails, Fotos und YouTube Videos bewiesen haben – vielen Dank allen für die bunte Nachlese! Auch für dieses Jahr haben wir ein vielfältiges Programmpaket geschnürt und dabei euer Feedback berücksichtigt. Alle Infos zu L-BEACH #2 findet ihr in diesem Booklet. Im L-THEATER vermittelt Marion Knaths in ihrem unterhaltsamen Vortrag zunächst wertvolle Verhaltenstipps im männerdominiertem Arbeitsalltag. Im anschließenden Career Talk diskutiert Moderatorin Sandra Herz mit spannenden Gästen auf dem Podium. | In German. Raus mit der Sprache! Der erste L-BEACH Poetry Slam mit rasanten Text-Präsenta tionen ausgewählter Teilnehmerinnen. Viele Frauen haben sich mit selbstgeschriebenen Texten aller Genres zum Thema „Music, Girls, Fun & Holidays!“ beworben. Nun geht es am Weissenhäuser Strand ums Ganze und die Gunst des hoffentpoetry slam lich großen Publikums im L-THEATER . Die bekannte Berliner SpokenWord-Performerin CayaTe wird den Abend mit einer eigenen Performance – natürlich außer Konkurrenz – eröffnen und anschließend den Wettbewerb moderieren. Die Kandidatinnen haben in der ersten Runde exakt drei Minuten, um die Jury zu überzeugen. Die drei Mädels mit der höchsten Punktzahl ziehen ins Finale ein, das durch ein Stechen entschieden wird. Tania Witte Die Berliner Schrift stellerin und Jour nalistin liest aus ihrem ersten Roman „beziehungsweise liebe“. Eine span nende Geschichte mitten aus dem Berliner Szene-Alltag, bei der man bis zum Ende gespannt sein darf, wer mit wem und warum eigentlich. The writer and journalist from Berlin presents her brand new novel “beziehungs weise liebe”, a wonderful story about trials and tribulations in the queer community in Berlin (the reading is in German). Mirjam Müntefering Auf dem Parkett einer Tanzschule spielt sich in weiten Teilen der neue Roman „Taktgefühle“ der bekannten Autorin Mirjam Müntefering ab. In der Lesung erfahrt ihr, wie Tiffy ihr Tanztrauma überwindet, welche Auswirkungen TangoArgentino auf das Liebesleben haben kann und ob Mirjam Müntefering selber
tanzen kann. Ballroom dancing plays an important role in the new novel of well-known writer Mirjam Müntefering. Her reading will reveal how Tiffy manages to get over her dancing trauma, what impact Tango-Argentino could have on her love life – and if Mirjam Müntefering knows how to dance herself. Moderation: Claudia Thieme Die Hamburgerin studierte Anglistik/ Amerikanistik, deutsche Literaturwissenschaft und Philosophie in Kiel und Bloomington, Indiana/USA . Internationales kino bei l-beach. Romantische und leidenschaftliche, dramatische und lustige, kurze und lange Geschichten zeigen wir an allen drei Tagen in unserem Kino im L-THEATER. Highlights aus den L-Filmnächten (eine Kooperation von Cinemaxx, Salzgeber und der L-Mag) und ein Israel Special (S. XX) zeigen die Bandbreite lesbischer Filmkunst (alle Filme in Original fassung mit deutschen Untertiteln). On all three days we’re presenting romantic and passionate, dramatic and funny, short and feature films at the L-THEATER cinema. V. finanziert im Zeichen des Pink Ribbon, der rosa Schleife, modellhafte Projekte zur Heilung von Brustkrebs und betreibt intensive Aufklärungskampagnen. Der Verein wurde 1999 als deutsche Vertretung von „Susan G. Komen for the Cure“ (USA ) gegründet und ist als gemeinnützige Organisation anerkannt. Im Mittelpunkt der Arbeit des Vereins steht die Auf klärung über Brustkrebs.

Purple Hand, its origins San Francisco October 31st 1969 : sixty members of the Gay Liberation Front (GLF) and the Society for Individual Rights (SIR) staged a protest at San Francisco’s Examiner in response to another in a series of news articles disparaging LGBT people in San Francisco’s gay bars and clubs. The peaceful protest against the “homophobic editorial policies” of the Examiner turned tumultuous and were later called “Friday of the Purple Hand” and “Bloody Friday of the Purple Hand”. Examiner employees dumped a bag of printers ink from the third story window of the newspaper building onto the crowd. The protestors used the ink to scrawl ‘Gay Power’ and other slogans on the building walls and stamp purple hand prints throughout downtown San Francisco resulting in one of the most visible demonstrations of ‘Gay Power’.
