PROOF

Much could be written about Alissa Peterson’s business acumen. Thriving for two decades in real estate doesn’t happen by accident. But to ask you to read about her transactions and her history in the industry would be a missed opportunity to tell the story of an authentic, lovely soul who greets each day with curiosity and gratitude.
She’s a connector – a bridge builder. In a working environment where collaboration and trust are crucial to success, she and her colleagues work creatively to solve problems and meet the challenges that arise on the way to the closing table. The work requires transparency and availability. That means a lot of time on the phone, day and night, connecting, being real with one another. Neither life nor business is a game; playing one wouldn’t be in the best interest of her clients. “We laugh a lot and play our way through even the most challenging times,” Alissa says. “People want to be good, want to be seen, heard, and will rise to be at their best if we allow, cultivate, and support them in going big, following their dreams, and being amazing.”
If you’ve worked with Alissa, you’ll recall feeling valued and known, being heard and seen. These are her core values. As she puts it, swimming at the surface with people doesn’t cut it. She wants to know what’s true about the person in front of her and what makes them come alive. Clients respond to this empathy with trust and that connection is
both beautiful and priceless. “This is the gift of my work,” Alissa explains. “I get to know my clients at a pretty deep level, and seeing them beyond the surface may just be why I can feel when the house is right. My clients trust that I know them well enough to call it when I see it.” This exact scenario played out recently when a client was out of the country and trusted Alissa to pursue a home that was right out of their dreams, sight unseen.
Imagine for a moment trying to help buy or sell a home for someone who doesn’t trust you.
With the cornerstone of the relationship missing, how would you work together? Needless to say, trust is, as Alissa well knows, hard earned. Trust and loyalty are foundational in all her relationships, which is evident in her body of work. “I have earned trust with my peers, which has led to some amazing miracles for my clients, in accepted offers, and we know that we can successfully close even the most challenging transactions,” she says. “Trust builds an unbreakable, powerful team structure. It makes people formidable to work with. Solving problems together and
food together and that’s just the stuff we have space to mention. A good morning routine is nonnegotiable; Alissa’s includes sunrise trail runs and a rock solid meditation practice. Soccer is huge for the family, too; as Alissa says, it’s a commitment they make with a lot of passion. You’ll find this big-hearted trio enjoying nature and all that Boulder is with an adventure-forward mindset. They’re not going to miss an opportunity to be challenged and find out what they’re capable of.
troubleshooting requires putting ego aside. And that can’t be done without trust.”
Some might say there’s an alchemy – a delightful magic at work – that helps bring her home sales to the finish line, often in very challenging circumstances. “There’s no shortage of it,” Alissa muses. “None of this work would come to fruition without it.”
As hard as she works, Alissa’s family – her children Cole, 17, and Liv, 15 – are at the center of her heart and her world. This beautiful family has been through a lot together and leads with humor, playfulness, and the ability to repair well and hold each other high. “I would do anything for my kids,” Alissa says. “The care and concern they show for me is remarkable; given their age, the level of grace, compassion, sweetness and presence they have the capacity for is magical.”
Alissa and her children have created a family rhythm that allows them to adventure together, living life fully! Between the three of them, there’s skiing (for Alissa, the all-women Thera Ski Club), running, soccer, basketball, volleyball, track and field, yoga, hiking, biking, and eating beautiful
When Alissa tells you she adores the people she works with and for, it’s not a platitude. Twenty-two years in real estate have given her deep respect for different points of view. “I love listening to people and hearing where they’re coming from,” she explains. “Most brokers in Boulder do that so well with curiosity, grace, and understanding. Service is at the forefront of what we do. When we elevate each other and take the high road, it’s better for Boulder.”
Showing up for clients consistently, regardless of what life may be throwing at her, is a practice for which Alissa is widely known. She wins business by being consistent, persistent, never giving up. Failure isn’t an option. Alissa was grateful to have so much work recently at the time of her father’s passing, considering it a gift to stay in her place of passion and doing what she loves. The bottom line: No matter what, she advocates for, shows up for, stays positive for and exemplifies consistency for her clients and colleagues. Every day. No matter what. In her words: “I earn trust so my clients know I will be dependable regardless of my circumstances.”
