Our team has prepared complete design for a roundabout at the junction of the following streets: Vuka Karadzica, Karadjordjeva and Zelena gora. The project included consideration of potential options for intersection configuration and control, and after analysis in the SIDRA Intersection software tool, choosing the optimal solution. Civil engineering part of the project was related to redesigning the intersection geometry. Special attention was attributed to relocation of the existing bus stops at the route on Karadjordjeva Street. The main goals of this project were the following effects: • • • • •
Uninterrupted traffic flow Reduction of traffic accidents – road safety improvement Reduction of conflict points Increase of capacity Improvement of the intersection Level of Service.
As part of this project, Preliminary Design, Building Permit Design and Detailed Design (design for construction) were prepared.
