'No means No '

On the 17th of May 2022, Carla Moller, a 3rd year student of our very own residence Kasteel (where she is the HC member for RAG), launched her 'No Means No ' campaign on the Potchefstroom Campus, where she shared her experience as a victim of sexual abuse.

As a female in the crowd, it gave me hope knowing that there are strong females who refuse to keep quiet about their abusive experiences.
What is needed is more education on sexual abuse, in order to avoid insulting remarks about how women dress and questions like "What can a woman do to avoid sexual abuse?" , because in reality, no amount of clothing can stop a perpetrator.
Thank you to people like Carla for reminding us that our voices are heard.


I have recently purchased one of the
'No Means No #itsnotjustoneofthosethings ' t-shirts and I have certainly never felt more pride in wearing a piece of clothing.
