MASKS OFF AND FUN ON!

The first semester kicked off with a bang! A bang of social activities! With Covid-19 regulations lifted, it was finally time to socialise. Our Social HC member and her team had many surprises in store for us. We enjoyed several ' aksies ' with our fellow Kasteel sisters and other residences. After interviewing a few Kasteel residents, they agreed on a few events that stood out: the pyjama event with Over-de-Voor, the “ wedding crashers ” event with Villagers, and “The night after Vegas ” event with Hombré.

' ; the theme was sleepOVERS at KASTEEL, which required everyone to come outfitted in pyjamas! An Overs-resident has quoted it being one of the strangest, most interesting “ aksies ” he has ever participated in, one that future marriage ' aksies ' will have to work really hard to compete with. The night (and Boerebar) witnessed onesies, various types of slippers, funky socks, and all-round sleepover essentials.

' was held at Bourbons, with the theme of Wedding Crashers. Admittedly, the theme was difficult to dress accordingly – most merely dressed either in a neat, wedding-like fashion on the top and in an unwedding-like fashion on the bottom, whereas some came completely covered in white. A Villagers-resident described the evening as one he did not expect to be as fun, commenting on how he was not aware Kasteel ladies could be the life of the party.
