MASKS
The three-year-olds have been very busy this term learning all about how we express ourselves, who we are and what physical similarities and differences there are between people in the same family, people from different cultures and people who live in a community. We had lots of fun tracing a classmate’s body, colouring it, describing her physical features and displaying it in class afterwards!.
We celebrate Carnival in February and we always do lots of things at our school related to this popular event. In art classes, children have designed carnival masks with a group of children from 6th grade modelling and making their own masks using papier-mâché. The final step was painting the masks according to each student´s individual tastes.

Collage
Easter is here and our teacher had an idea. Why don´t we do an activity that combines Easter and one of our contents; collage. She told us to draw a bunny and then cut pieces of paper and stick them on the bunny to make a collage. It was a challenge because at home we don´t have all the material we have at school. Mrs. Ondina told us to use our imagination and to use all the papers we find at home, for example the paper from a packet of biscuits. And so we did it. It took us a long time but the result was good. ILIANA Y DARA - 4º de primaria b

Inventions
This term, third grade students have been studying how the machines we have today were invented years ago. They have studied the artist: Leonardo Da Vinci. This time, they have centered their attention in his inventions. Apart from his machines, they liked the beginning of the parachute very much. In conclusion, they have made their own parachute with paper, a piece of string, a lid and glue. It was funny to play with their creations. ondina acosta - tercero de primaria
