Outpatient BH Clinic Employee of the Month - Melanie Cooper
We are excited to announce the new Resource Corner at the Center for Behavioral Health, a valuable addition spearheaded by our very own Jessica Reyes This initiative has already proven to be a great asset to our patients, offering essential resources beyond mental health services.
From housing and food assistance to legal support and more, the Resource Corner connects individuals with vital services to help meet their needs Whatever the challenge, Jessica likely has a resource for it! This space is designed to empower patients by providing the tools and support they need to navigate life’s obstacles
Be sure to stop by and explore this new space the next time you visit the clinic. Thank you, Jessica, for your dedication to supporting our community!
Melanie, a Peer Support Specialist with JPS Behavioral Health, has been with JPS for nearly 12 years and was among the first in her role. While the Peer Support team isn't officially part of OPBH, Melanie has become an integral presence at CBHR Clinic.
A coworker shared, "Melanie is a joy to have in the clinic She’s great with patients, friendly to staff, and always brightens the day " Her leader added, "No matter what, she stays positive and never lets anyone dull her sparkle!" Thank you, Melanie, for your dedication and uplifting spirit we appreciate all that you do!
As we prepare for the upcoming JPS and Cook Children’s clinic opening this summer, our Behavioral Health team is actively engaging with the LVTRise community to provide education and support Through outreach efforts, we are connecting with local community members to discuss mental health resources and offer educational presentations designed to promote well-being
Our monthly educational series, held on the second Wednesday of each month, covers a wide range of behavioral health topics, equipping individuals and families with valuable knowledge to support their mental health These sessions are an excellent opportunity for community members to learn, ask questions, and access helpful resources ahead of the new clinic’s launch.
For more information or to get involved, please contact Elizabeth Alaniz at ealaniz@jpshealth org We look forward to strengthening our partnership with the LVTRise community and ensuring everyone has access to the care and education they need!
We’re excited to share some great new developments at Southwest Behavioral Health (SWBH) that will enhance the services we provide to our patients
First, Jill Pollard, BHAS, has started offering Child and Adolescent Intakes as part of a new pilot program at SWBH This initiative is currently available for CAB and SW Child and Adolescent referrals only, providing specialized support for younger patients in need of behavioral health services.
Additionally, starting in April, we will begin offering outpatient group therapy at SWBH! These sessions will be led by Heather Zipper and Jill Pollard, covering a variety of topics to support patient well-being For now, we will offer two groups per week, with plans to expand in the future.
These new services reflect our commitment to growing and improving patient care Stay tuned for more details, and thank you to Jill, Heather, and the entire SWBH team for making these initiatives possible!
