CLINIC UPDATES
Annual CBLs are due by April 30!
Our top performer for March is Northeast BH with a score of 89.29!
Our overall department score for March was 80.36 which is well above stretch!
As a reminder, any care escalations or incidents that occur in BH clinics, especially those that result in a fall or workplace violence situation, should be communicated to leadership immediately. In addition to the notification to leadership, a Midas should also be entered as soon as possible with all pertinent information regarding the escalation. Including any witnesses, contributing factors, or other information as prompted by the Midas report
Outpatient BH Clinic
Employee of the Month - Chantel Pearce
Excitement buzzed as staff gathered to kick off the first in a series of traveling potlucks set to take place at all our outpatient behavioral health clinics It was a lunch dedicated not only to indulging in delicious food but also to fostering a sense of community and camaraderie among our team
The potluck provided a welcome opportunity for staff to unwind, connect, and recharge In the midst of our busy schedules, coming together to share a meal reminded us of the importance of taking moments to pause, appreciate one another's company, and recharge
As we look forward to future traveling potlucks at our other outpatient behavioral health clinics, we're filled with anticipation for the connections that will be forged and the memories that will be made. These gatherings serve as more than just opportunities to enjoy good food they're a testament to the strength of our community and the bonds that unite us in our shared mission of providing compassionate care to those we serve.

WalkinginUnity
In the heart of Fort Worth, Texas, where Southern hospitality meets unwavering resilience, the Center for Behavioral Health Recovery witnessed a heartwarming display of camaraderie and tribute Inspired by the unmistakable style of one of their own, RN Manny Hidic, the front desk team embarked on a unique gesture of solidarity: donning boots alongside their scrubs
For those unfamiliar with Manny's signature look it includes pairing his scrubs with a sturdy pair of boots A symbol of both practicality and character, Manny's choice of footwear has become a hallmark of his presence within the clinic.
In a show of respect for their esteemed colleague’s unique style, the front desk team collectively decided to pay homage to Manny's fashion sense by embracing boots as part of their daily attire From cowboy boots adorned with intricate designs to rugged work boots, each member of the team found their own way to embody Manny's spirit through their choice of footwear
The gesture not only celebrated Manny's unique fashion sense but also served as a poignant reminder of the bond shared among clinic staff In a field where empathy and compassion are paramount, small acts of solidarity can have a profound impact, fostering a sense of belonging and unity among colleagues As the front desk team greeted patients and visitors with smiles and nods, their

boots served as a silent testament to the values we each embody here in outpatient behavioral health: professionalism, resilience, and a touch of Texas charm. Through their choice to walk in Manny's boots, the front desk team not only honored a beloved colleague but also strengthened the bonds that unite them as a team, creating a ripple of positivity that resonated throughout the clinic

TJC Readiness Reminders
We are now in our window for The Joint Commission (TJC) Triannual survey We expect TJC to survey JPS sometime between now and November 2024 For those that have been here for past triannual surveys, we will not have advance notice of TJC surveyors arrival We will find out between 7:30am and 8:00am on a Monday morning that they have arrived and the survey will last a full week We appreciate your continued support in monitoring and maintaining the patient care spaces, offices and common areas at each of our BH clinics and PHPs to ensure nothing gets missed during clinic sweeps or tracers
In addition, we have also selected site captains at each location to do weekly checks of clinical and non-clinical areas These staff members will be looking for items such as cardboard, drinks in non-designated hydration stations, and chemicals not represented on the SDS sheets (hand lotions, perfumes, air sprays, etc), and will be quizzing staff on basic knowledge that could be asked by a surveyor We appreciate your cooperation with these weekly rounds as this will prevent the need to do a last-minute scramble the week of the survey
Please take a moment to go through your areas before you depart for each weekend to ensure you are ready if TJC surveyors were to arrive on Monday morning You should also conduct an additional sweep on Monday morning Please do this each Friday/Monday until the TJC survey has been completed This effort will ensure we are ready for anyone at any time
Also, as a reminder the following items are prohibited under all circumstances and will be confiscated by our district safety team. You will have 10 day to reclaim your item from District Safety.

Enhancing Security at CBHR
We're excited to announce a significant step forward in bolstering security at the Center for Behavioral Health Recovery Following approval from the Fire Marshal, CBHR has been greenlit for the installation of additional badge readers, a move that promises to further fortify our facility's safety measures
The green light from the Fire Marshal means badge readers will be installed on the remaining two doors off the lobby: COOR 200 (adjacent to the RN space) and COOR 600 (Psychology Hall door) Once in place, these badge readers will ensure that all access points off the lobby are secure, enhancing overall safety for everyone within our premises

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to each of you for entrusting your leadership teams with advocating for these crucial security enhancements Your feedback and ideas have been invaluable in shaping our approach to safety, and we're committed to ensuring that your voices continue to be heard.
It's important to emphasize our dedication to safety doesn't stop here We're actively exploring every avenue to further improve security across all locations. Rest assured, our leadership teams both clinical and operational are aligned in their commitment to proactive and responsive measures that prioritize the well-being of our staff, patients, and visitors
As we forge ahead with these enhancements, we encourage everyone to remain vigilant and proactive in maintaining a secure environment Together, we're building a stronger, safer CBHR for all
