In the present work, chromatographic procedure is proposed and validated for the simultaneous determination of 4-aminophenol in paracetamol tablet formulation, by direct injection using mass detector. The method involved the application of GC–MS and the objective of the present work is to develop a simple, rapid and reliable method to assay paracetamol and to determine the 4aminophenol in medical paracetamol tablets.
