To get BS5750 has involved all staff a t The Microfilm Shop in a lot of extra work and effort. Ask anyone who already has it or is working tow ards it. The initial task is now complete and w hat sta rte d off as a chore has proved to be an interesting exercise in hon ing and improving the office system, w arehousing and m anagem ent control structures.
Brenda has been involved in the microfilm industry for m any years, sta rtin g out as Production M anager of Scanneg Microfilm in 1968. She was still w ith the com pany when it was acquired by Caledonian Reprographics and rem ained there u n til th a t, in tu rn , was sold to P.S.I. Upon its foundation she joined Genneg Associates (now trading as The Microfilm Shop) and has been there ever since. Brenda will be sorely m issed by everyone a t 'The Shop' and by most people in th e industry who knew her or had dealings w ith her. ...but still th e Sh op g e ts b ig g er and b etter B ig g er On Monday 9th May 1994, The Microfilm Shop cut the first sod to s ta rt the construction of a new 700 sq/m (7,000 sq/ft) extension to its existing 500 sq/m (5,000 sq/ft) office and w arehouse building. W ith luck, this new two storey building will be complete and occupied by early Septem ber. They hope th a t this will cause little K e e p in m in d !
