Product News New from The M icrofilm Shop: A pertu re c a rd "Out Sign als"

These "Out Signals" are a plastic disc 92mm in diam eter and are used in aperture card systems to denote th at a card is out of the drawer. Using different colours enables the identity of the user to be known at a glance.

As the "Out Signals" are 10mm higher than the aperture cards and circular, this ensures th a t they are readily visible. Available ex-stock in red, blue and orange (in units of 100) they can also be supplied in any colour to special order. (Product ref. 5003)

You can now top-up your Starm ate 500, Imtec 1000, ABR1000, OR RP-900 as all these machines use a toner kit th at includes a Sanyo print engine and 8 x 60gm bottles of toner. The print engine quite often has some good life in it after the 8 bottles of toner have been used up. It also depends on the amount of text involved on each of the prints taken.

The Microfilm Shop now supplies a top-up pack of 4 bottles of toner (60 gm) to enable the maximum life of the print engine to be utilised. Please note th at this is not an O.E.M. product,but is successfully used in the U.S.A.

The Microfilm Shop now have toner packs suitable for use with many of the latest reader printers.

The new Toner 67 is for Regma AR3Z and the Bell + Howell ABR2700. The Toner 69 is for the AR2Z, the ABR2900 and the Imtec 5100.

New range o f densitom eters.

Densitometers are devices which are crucial in many fields. Microfilm bureaux, printing companies, photo laboratories and x-ray processing departm ents should use densitometers to ensure adequate quality of processing. Yet, many possible users hesitate to purchase densitometers, because the combined reflection-transmission devices have become so extremely cost-intensive. One of the reasons for this is th a t the construction of these machines has become more and more complicated. Many densitometers are now equipped with features which most users apply very rarely, if at all.

"These problems now belong to the past", claims the German producer Heiland Electronic, presenter of a completely new range of densitometers.

The TD 1 is another transm ission densitometer. The changeable apertures are placed in a lit area and have diam eters of 0.5mm/lmm/2mm/3mm respectively. The device can be used universally a t any stage of film-processing and, like the TD, is tailor-made for the microfilm trade.

To complete the Heiland range are the TRD2, TRD3, and TRD4. These are combined reflection and transm ission densitometers, suitable for use in all types of photographic trades - particularly ideal for repro and printing companies

Also available, from Heiland, is a professional test set, which allows you to quickly and reliably test the processing of black and white photo m aterials.
