Graphic designer and architect, I’m the manager and co-founder of Palmetta Plan Architect and Design studio. I’m a graduate of the University of Fine Arts where I earned my degree as a graphic designer. In my projects, I try to synthetise art and design. The graphics and designs I work on are characterised by a clear minimalist outlook and conceptualist ideas.
Kiss Zsombor GRAFIKUS / GRAPHIC DESIGNER Grafikus, tervező. A Palmetta Plan Építészeti és Design Stúdió vezető tervezője és társalapítója vagyok. A Magyar Képzőművészeti Egyetemen diplomáztam tervező grafika szakon. Munkáimban a képzőművészet és dizájn szintézisét igyekszem megvalósítani. Karakteres grafikáimat és dizájn munkáimat a letisztult minimalista látásmód és erős konceptuális töltet jellemzi. Mi volt az első benyomásod a borról és a borászról? Abszolút pozitív! A borok kiegyensúlyozottak, a borászat ígéretes. A borász pedig bepillantást engedett a hétköznapjaiba, a családját is volt szerencsém megismerni, így kerek az egész történet. Mi adja jelen fázisban a fő inspirációt a cégér címkével kapcsolatban, ami alapján elkezdtél alkotni? Az inspiráció a helyszínen szerzett benyomásokból táplálkozik. Elsősorban Etyek vidéke, annak hangulata, Áron és családja, és természetesen maga a bor adja az elsődleges inspirációt. A címkéről: 300 Pinot Noir hordóválogatás 2012 A dizájn koncepció alapja nem egy hagyományos értelemben vett címke, hanem egy térbe kimozduló fa „gyűrű”, melynek 4 oldalán kap helyet minden szükséges információ, valamint azt kiegészítendő egy függőcímkén minden általunk fontosnak ítélt részlet, mely a bort pontosan definiálja. Grafikusi pályafutásod során melyik munkádra vagy a legbüszkébb? Mindegyik munkára büszke vagyok, ami a weboldalamon (www.kisszsombor.com ) látható. Most talán az egyik legfrissebb munkámat emelném ki, ami a maga nemében egészen különleges lesz, ha megvalósul abban a formában, ahogyan terveztem.
What was your rst impression meeting the wine and the winemaker? Absolutely positive! The wines are harmonious, the winery is full of potential. The winemaker told me about his work and I got to meet his family, so all the details are in. What was your main inspiration as you started working on this Cégér label? Inspiration came from what I saw at the winery, mainly the countryside near Etyek, the atmosphere, Áron and his family, and, of course, from the wine itself. A few words about the label: 300 Pinot Noir Selection 2012 My concept was not to create a label in the usual sense, I was thinking rather along the lines of a wooden ‘ring’ on whose four sides we print all the information about the wine and then add a small label with an important, for us, defining quote. Of your designs so far, which is your favourite? I’m very proud of all my designs that are on my website: www.kisszsombor.com Perhaps my favourite right now is a recent project, quite unique if it turns out the way I see it. It’s the complete redesign of a funeral home, architectural and interior concept, furniture and company image.
