hand onto the field and after a "Last time! Best Time" shout, the band delivered what all involved called their best overall performance of the season. Senior drum major Montana Sartor said, "The moment we ended our finals performance, I was crying. I'm pretty sure everyone was crying. Standing there in the Alamodome full of people, it all became worth it." Band Vice President Jentrie Doty offered up this observation; "I just want to highlight the amount of improvement that happened in just a few weeks. This is not the same band at all that started our contest season. So much hard work went in to become a better band overall." The band finished in ninth place
