hand onto the field and after a "Last time! Best Time" shout, the band delivered what all involved called their best overall performance of the season.
Senior drum major Montana Sartor said, "The moment we ended our finals performance, I was crying. I'm pretty sure everyone was crying. Standing there in the Alamodome full of people, it all became worth it."
Band Vice President Jentrie Doty offered up this observation; "I just want to highlight the amount of improvement that happened in just a few weeks. This is not the same band at all that started our contest season. So much hard work went in to become a better band overall."

the top 12 bands are in our football district. Mineola was crowned the state champion for the third time in a row with Whitesboro and Queen City rounding out the top three.
The band directors and band members would like to thank all those involved that helped with the successful season.
"I'm not going to call names because I would definitely leave someone out, but it takes a village to get us from point A to B." said Liss. "Our administration, faculty, band boosters, prop pushers, trailer pullers, etc. are appreciated more than I can express. From Coach Jehling and coaches bringing the football team to watch us at region to Community Bible Fellowship and First Baptist Church feeding us breakfast before area and state departures to all those who sent messages or traveled to San Antonio to watch us perform, we have felt so much support from the entire community. We are so very grateful and humbled to be representing our little town at such high levels." The band will now begin the transition into concert season with a veteran's day performance and all -region auditions next on the calendar.”

FBC Howe feeds the Pride of Howe
Submitted—Breakfast Tacos for the Howe High School Marching Band were served Tuesday morning before their trip to the State Marching Competition by First Baptist Church, Howe. Helpers that created the meal were Roger Tidwell, Wes Robertson, Doug Shelley, Ron Hoes, and Clay Wilson. They also prayed for the band, fed them, and sent them on their way to San Antonio. First Baptist Church Howe is proud of the Howe High School Marching band, the Pride of Howe, and how well they represented Howe.
