Lady Bulldogs advance to regionals in golf The Howe Lady Bulldogs will advance to the regional round in golf as they won the district championship with a combined score of 418 which was 43 strokes ahead of second place Gunter. Howe’s Katie Grogan led the team with a score of 94 followed by Reagan Troxtell with a 103. Kriston Harris shot a 108, Brooke Robinson shot a 113 and Grace Brennan stroked a 122. The regional meet for the girls will take place April 18-20 at Oak
Hurst Golf Course in Bullard, Texas. The boys regional meet is April 21-22 at the same location. Pottsboro didn’t field a team, but they placed the top two in individual scorers as Alli Reily shot a 72 to lead and Jordyn Hampton scored 93. The Howe boys did not field a team, but individually were led by Gage Troxtell who shot a 114. Colton Little stroked a 119 and Ethan Chitty shot 129. Bells finished first overall with a 356 and Ben Stephens of Bells was first overall with a 75.
Keep Howe Beautiful to host Trash-off It’s time to spring clean Texas and Keep Howe Beautiful wants to start with the hometown. They will be hosting the annual Texas Trash-Off on Saturday April 17, 2021 from 9 am to noon and are seeking those who will volunteer to help pick up Howe. KHB will meet at 8:45 a.m.at Summit Gardens located at 100 E. O'Connell, downtown Howe.
