The Howe Lady Bulldogs (3-10) dropped two games last week in district play. On Tuesday, Howe lost to Whitewright at home, 11-2 and an early Friday game saw them fall to Pottsboro, 12-1.

Hosting Whitewright, Micaiah Franklin got the start in the circle and pitched 5.2 innings, allowing seven earned runs on 12 hits while walking one and striking out two. She was relieved by Railyn Murphy who went 1.1 innings giving up two hits.

Both of Howe’s runs came in the bottom of the fourth inning when Alexia Womack hit a double to drive in Ryleigh Craven who had singled. Emery Snapp then singled on a grounder that drove in Womack.

Snapp had two hits in the game to lead the Lady Bulldogs. On Friday, Howe was no-hit by Aly Malone of Pottsboro. The Lady Bulldogs did score a run, however when Alexia Womack reached second base on an error and moved to third on a passed ball and then scored on a flyball hit by Gracie Lankford.

Franklin started for Howe and was relieved by Craven. The two combined to give up nine earned runs in four innings on nine hits and seven walks. She struck out three Lady Cardinals.

Howe will host Bonham on Tuesday and travel to Gunter on Friday.
