Texoma Patriots
The Texoma Patriots will meet Tuesday April 6, at 7 pm at Buck Snort BBQ in Downtown Van Alstyne where they have invited speakers Jilly Glover, Dr. Bobby Lopez, and Jeff Younger to talk about a priority item in the Texas GOP platform of children and gender modification.
Jill Glover is the State Republican Executive Committee (SREC) for Senate District 12 and Chairs the Legislative Priorities Committee. The strategy on the Legislative Priority Committee is to give you, the voter, all the tools you need to make your voice heard. And, according to Glover, we are having some success. Dr. Robert Oscar Lopez who grew up in a lesbian household and formerly expressed himself as a homosexual man, was dismissed from his position at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary because he refused to stay silent on two topics: the possibility of people leaving homosexuality through the help of both God and neighbor, and the abuse rampant in the homosexual community. Jeff Younger is a father of twin boys and is in a court battle to keep his ex-wife from transitioning one of the boys into a girl through gender modification.

they have put him.” At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus.
He asked her, “Woman, why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?” Thinking he was the gardener, she said, “Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have put him, and I will get him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary.” She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, “Rabboni!” (which means “Teacher”). Jesus said, “Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’” “Our bills to ban Child Gender Modification are picking up support and many representatives and senators are recognizing how critical it is to get something done this session to protect children from medical child abuse. . . They have been assigned to the House Public Health Committee and the Senate State Affairs Committee” according to Glover. You can read her comments in the Legislative Priority Report published weekly at srec@texasgop.org. We must let our elected representatives know how we want them to vote on this issue. “We can target our phone calls and emails to the committees” Glover said. “Please check to see if your state representative or senator is chairing a committee that has our Legislative Priorities.

You can see the committee assignments here for the House and Senate."
There is also a digital guide to all our priorities, with the contact information included for each state representative and senator. You can download and print this booklet out if you prefer. It includes talking points and a sample email.
Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that he had said these things to her.
At First Baptist Church of Howe, the message from Roger Tidwell spoke of worry and how Jesus said not to worry about anything, and that worry does not help the situation and only makes it worse. He tied this to the recent COVID situation in the world.
“God says don't worry, don't worry, don't worry. But we say God what about COVID, COVID COVID,?” said Tidwell. “Now it's okay to be concerned about COVID—we should be. It is right to be concerned about your situation, but God says it is not right to worry about your situation. You may be a little confused here thinking how can I know the difference between concern that it is okay in worry that is not okay? Here is how you know the difference. You own concern, worry owns you. You control concern, worry controls you.”
