Sales tax figures on the rise for the City of Howe Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced recently he will send cities, counties, transit systems and special purpose taxing districts $890.5 million in local sales tax allocations for November, 4.8 percent more than in November 2019. These allocations are based on sales made in September by businesses that report tax monthly, and on sales made in July, August and September by quarterly filers
The City of Howe is currently 19.08 percent ahead of 2019 in sales tax revenues. This month’s total of $47,693.07 is 22 percent ahead of November 2019. For the year, Howe’s figure is $427,679.41 which is up from last year's $359,130.15 at the same time. Participants can find the nearest drop-off location and hours of operation as they make plans to drop off their shoebox gifts. The online lookup tool is searchable by city or ZIP code. Signs at each location will identify the curbside drop off. There are six convenient drop off locations in the Red River Area including Ardmore, Denison, Durant, Gainesville, Sherman and Whitesboro. gible way to children in need around the world and, together with the local church worldwide, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Since 1993, Operation Christmas Child has collected and delivered more than 178 million gift-filled shoeboxes to children in more than 160 countries and territories.
