Texoma Health Foundation contributes $5k to Memorial Park renovation Last week, the City of Howe received some great news when they were notified that the Texoma Health Foundation has contributed $5,000 to the Memorial Park renovation project. Due to the grant to be written in matching funds, the $5,000 effectively is $10,000 in funding. Businesses around the area have contributed heavily including Baker Air Con-

ditioning & Heating who were the first to offer up $1,000 and challenge other businesses. Provider Business Partners responded with $1,000, Scoggins Funeral Home committed to $1,000, the Howe Area Chamber of Commerce committed $2,000, Howe Mercantile committed to $500, and Amanda Garner CPA donated $250.

Accident on service road sends Oklahoma woman to hospital

Howe Police and Fire work a single-car accident this morning on the west access of US Hwy 75 southbound. The vehicle failed to negotiate the curve. A 38-year-old Enid, Oklahoma woman (driver) suffered a serious injury and will be transported to a nearby hospital. Courtesy photo.
