Baseball and softball roundup Howe lost two games this week in district play. On Tuesday, the Bulldogs (4-11) were blanked by Leonard, 11-0 as the Tigers scored in four of the five innings. Leonard took advantages of eight walks in the game and two errors by the Bulldogs. Garrett Grigg pitched 2.2 innings, allowing 3 earned runs. He struck out 3 and walked 5. Howe's only hit came from Garret Johnson. The Bulldogs also lost to Bonham on Saturday, 7-2 with Mason Riggs giving up 3 earned runs in 3 innings. The Warriors added four unearned runs thanks to four errors by Howe. The Bulldogs racked up 8 hits on the afternoon with Riggs, Bryce Krantz, and Dyson Dillard each collecting multi-hit games. The team's 2 RBI came from Dillard and Dylan Hughs. Howe is scheduled to play at Whitewright on Tuesday at 7 pm. Howe's JV beat Leonard's JV 9-1

behind the great pitching performance of Brett Burnett. The sophomore hurler went 5 strong innings, allowing only one earned run on 3 hits, striking out 6 and walking 3. The Bulldogs JV captured 8 hits with Tyler Robinson collecting the only extra base hit. Luke Lopez went 2-for-3 at the plate with a run scored and an RBI. Austin Thurman had 2 RBI to lead the team.

The Lady Bulldogs lost to Leonard, 20-7 with Trinity Williams getting the start for Howe and going 2 innings, allowing 5 earned runs. Cassidy Anderson followed with 3 innings pitched allowing only one earned run. The Howe girls were led at the plate by Williams and Chloe Loftice who each went 2-for-3 with RBI triples. Hannah Dwyer also had a multi-hit game. The Lady Bulldogs will play at Whitewright on Tuesday at 6:30 pm.

Tennis results from Tioga Tournament Howe Tennis team played a dual match at Whitesboro Thursday. Head Coach Deon Duncan, said " I'm so proud of our players. We have a full team this year and our kids are enjoying the competition." Picture shown above is Eli Wilson and Raul Hernandez in their doubles match.
