Nominations coming in for the 2019 Howe Hall of Honor Nominations for the Howe Hall of Honor Class of 2019 opened up in January and will close at the end of the month. Nominees will then go to the general public for a selection of two living and two deceased members to be entered into this year's class. The voting will take place online from March 1 to March 31. The selections will be inducted formally at the annual Howe Area Chamber of Commerce Hall of Honor and Awards night which will be held on May 3 at 6:30 pm at the chamber office in Downtown Howe.
Wortham. Those that have already been inducted are: 2015: Jabez Haning, W.P. Thompson, A.M. Ferguson, Mame Roberts, Charles Thompson, Arthur Boyle, Tony Brinkley, L.B. Kirby, Norma Wallace, Ray Bledsoe, Carrie Waller, and Elmer Schenk. 2016: Norman Dickey, Jimmy Bearden, and Steve Simmons. 2017: Donal Gilstrap, Jean Norman, J.J. Chisum, and Bob Walker. 2018: Tommy Skipworth, Bob Williams, Harold Taylor, and Norman Bennett.
