The Howe FFA Booster Club held their annual BBQ Dinner & Auction Saturday night at Howe High School and once again raised big money from the event The proceeds help fund Howe High School FFA scholarships, leadership and career development event participation, the annual banquet, improvement for the animal project center, as well as financial support for those who have animal projects for the Texoma Exposition and Livestock Show, which is coming up at the end of the month February 25-March 1

The total amount raised was $11,996 which was up from the $11,265 raised a year ago

Five members o the community have put their names in the ha to run for the Howe ISD Boa of Trustees two open seats An election will be held on May 4 Those members are Jerod Brockelman, Michael Doty, Randy Hayes, Dustin Leakey, and Tamela Shadden

The Howe City Council only had one open seat and former councilman Dale Rideout filed to fill that seat No one registered to oppose Mayor Jeff Stanley who will return for his sixth consecutive elected term

Councilman Bill French also ran unopposed
