Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, Rita Noel speaks to Rotarians. Judge Rita Noel, Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4 was the guest speaker at the Hurricane Creek Rotary Club on Thursday afternoon. She delivered a speech on topic of the duties related to her elected position.

Summit Gardens coming together thanks to volunteers A team effort between Rick Owens and Boyd Dunn have made great strides with the renovation of Summit Gardens (formerly the First Christian Church of Howe). Walls have been moved and new frames have been constructed and put in place for future restrooms. The upper level flooring has been put in place and Baker Air Conditioning and Heating will be installing the air system at their earliest convenience, although they

are heavily back-loaded with jobs currently. Sheet rock has been delivered which will go in the upper level area as the bottom sanctuary will remain the original ship lap exposed wood, but seal-coated. The original hardwood floors will be re-sanded and preserved. T&R Roofing of Howe will be removing the existing roof and replacing it in the next couple of weeks.
