These “Godden” rules relate to the age of a piece, but Godden reminds us “that age in itself is not a virtue. Do not worship age alone.” I am not too sure about Geoffrey’s admonition. After I turned 65 and found out that I was firmly escounced in the category of an antique in some collecting fields, I began to think that revering age might not be such a bad thing. FBC Howe holds breakfast for police, fire and city employees

Billy Joe Wheeler and the leaders of the First Baptist Church of Howe held a breakfast for the police, fire and city employees on Saturday morning. It was the second time in seven months that the church hosted such an event. Pastor Roger Tidwell opened the

meal with an invocation. Mayor Jeff Stanley thanked the church leaders for hosting the event. In the crowd was retiring Sheriff Keith Gary along with David Russell, who is seeking his position on March 1.
