Downtown has become sweeter
One of the hardest working and best tasting caterers has official opened up a micro station insid Howe Mercantile in Downtown Howe at 107 E Haning St Suz Sauls, owner of Mama Suzy's Sweets & Eats has been selling some of her tasty treats inside the location since Thursday afternoon
Some of the items being offered for sale are pear butter, pear preserve, pear relish, hot mustard, and apple butter.

Mama Suzy's Sweets and Eats are available to cater events in Howe and surrounding areas.
Also wanting to offer more of a sweeter flavor and robust experience is Abby's Restaurant, where owner Lillian Avila says they will offer home baked pies such as chocolate silk, conconut, buttermilk, pecan and more

"I want Abby's to be more than just service." said Avila. "I want people to be able to come in and have a slice of pie and a cup of coffee.
They are also adding a little something for the kid patrons as well Abby's will now have cookies to each kid meal
Samantha Jackson, recently hired by Avila has an extensive background in the pie business and will providing those sweet tasters in downtown.
"It's a new year and I want to bring people in for more than just food " said Avila. "I want them to have an experience "
With Mama Suzy's having a station downtown along with Abby's new sweets, Avila says that it is not really competition working on a full kitchen to be builit in the Luella area for all of her catering and sweet treats. For now she's enjoying the foot traffic of the downtown area.
"She brought me some of her pies and they were really good." said Avila "The more we have to offer in Downtown Howe, the more people that will potentially come to Downtown Howe."
