The board members of the chamber will pare down the list of nominees and compile a final list of inductees based on the number of nominations and merit Citizens will also have a chance to participate in the final paring down No minimum or maximum number of inductees has been predetermined The announcement of the Class of 2016 will be revealed in the March 14 edition of the Howe Enterprise

Those wishing to cast a nomination can do so by filling out the form located at http://howechamber.com/event/2ndannual-howe-hall-of-honor-andawards-ceremony/ or by picking up a form located at the Howe Post Office

When making a nomination, please consider the following criteria as a guideline in recommending the nominee:

• Successful activities/endeavors while living or working in Howe

• Demonstrates or demonstrated qualities of character and leadership

• Attained achievement in at least one of the following areas: personal, professional life, church, community service

• Brought credit to or made significant contribution to Howe through personal endeavor and leadership

ATSSB (Association of Texas Small School Bands) announced that Howe senior trumpet player Airianna Smith has once again been selected to the All-State Band It is the ninth straight year that at least one Howe student has been named to the AllState Band
