The Bulldogs faced the Leonard Tigers on Saturday, for what would be the most intense game of the season thus far. With a touchdown in the second play of the game by Beaudy Kuykendall, the Bulldogs quickly took control. Kendall O' Brien led the defensive line to shut the Tigers out for the first 2 quarters. Rylan Strong scored touchdown number two for the 'Dogs, taking them into the second half with a 13-0 lead. The Tigers managed two TD's, but the 'Dogs recoiled with one of their own. Though great efforts were made by
Gage Owens and the rest of the defense, another TD came in from the Tigers. The 4th quarter ended with a tie of 19-19, sending the teams into overtime. Each team scored a single touchdown, but both were unsuccessful in geting the extra points, tying it up at 2525, and headed into another overtime, where neither team scored. Leonard chose to kneel on the play and pulled out a win due the defensive penetration. The Bulldogs go head to head with Blue Ridge next week in the first round of the playoffs.
