Ultrasound Cavitation Ultrasound cavitation — also known as ultrasonic cavitation, cavi-lipo, or ultra cavitation — is one of the latest body contouring options to hit the market. As we wish 2018 a fond farewell and finish up wrapping up the holiday festivities, it is readily apparent that no time is being wasted getting started with 2019!! We are already receiving beautiful new late Winter and Spring apparel here in the Golf Shop as well as all the new offerings from our club manufacturers. We currently have in stock the Titleist TS series woods, we will be receiving the new Ping G10, TaylorMade M5 , Mizuno and Callaway Rogue Epic equipment in late January. Improving your game doesn’t have to wait for the temperature to warm up! Call the Golf Shop or the Golf Academy and set up your appointment for a fitting for some of the new exciting irons and woods coming our way!

On Friday, January 18th from 6:30pm to 7:30pm our Golf Staff will provide an overview of the 2019 Golf Tournament & Event calendar – Men, Couples, & Juniors!! At this event we will have our new Director of Instruction Bill Murchison on hand with his staff to go over the new equipment and programs we have starting in 2019 at the new Georgia Golf Performance Center on the range. Member Guest 2019 is May 16th-19th so mark your calendars for this can’t miss event. This event is designed for Golf Members and their guests to play 5 nine-hole matches to compete to get into the Shoot Out at the end of play on Saturday. Our policy is to have our esteemed Golf Members invite their guest from outside of the BridgeMill membership to play and showcase our golf course and our facilities. Please make sure this year to have your guests be true Guests, as we will want to have them be a part of one of our premier golf events of the year.

On September 15th & 16th teams from the Eagle Watch Golf Club and our own BridgeMill Athletic Club tee’d it up for the eighth year to compete in a Ryder Cup style golf tournament. Each team consisted of sixteen players being matched as two man individual teams.

The tournament started on Saturday at the Eagle Watch course with the opening nine holes being played as “Four Ball” competition and the back nine played as “Modified Alternate Shot”. Saturday’s play was a hard fought battle between the two club’s with the BridgeMill Team leaving that day with a 9.5 to 6.5 point lead going into Sunday.

Sunday’s play was here at BridgeMill with play starting off as a nine hole “Scramble” followed by the remaining nine holes as players competed individually in a “Stroke Play” format. Andy Robbins had our course in great shape and the BridgeMill Team went on to take back the coveted trophy with a final 27.5 to 12.5 point victory.

Congratulations to both teams and their participants on a highly contested, hard fought battle. It is without question that everyone will be looking forward to next year’s event.

BRIDGEMILL LGA UPDATE by Molly Maher The BridgeMill Ladies Golf Association ended their 2018 season on a high note December 1st with a holiday luncheon and social at Featherstone’s. The afternoon was filled with great food, awards and raffles. A special thanks to our social chair, Liz Gallogly, for a fun day with beautiful decorations and a great meal prepared by Chef Michael.

Our Play Date Chair, Molly Maher, started out the awards program with the prizes for our Ringer Tournament. This is an ongoing tournament through the golf season and participants are in charge of keeping and recording their score for each round and noting it in a special ledger in the ladies locker room. The idea is to better your score with each round played with another LGA member.

Our tournaments chair, Nancy Gillenwater, then took the lead to announce the top award. The Player of the Year award is presented to the member who has most improved their golf handicap, participated in club events and seems to go above and beyond to be part of our club and BridgeMill Athletic Club. 2018 Player of the Year - Molly Maher.

Liz, Kelly and Debra finished up the event with raffles of poinsettias, golf statues, bags and gift cards to HMS which can be used in the pro shop, restaurant or a golf activity.

Our ladies golf association has voted to change the way our club is organized.

We will no longer have annual dues or a board of officers. We will have casual golf outings and tournaments. The outings will normally be during the week when it is easier for us to play at BridgeMill.

The courts are in high demand.

Checking in ensures that you will not be bumped off the court in the middle a match because it was previously reserved. It also helps the staff know what courts are being used and who is on them.

The tennis courts are for Club members and their guests only. Accompanied guest fees are $10 per person. Athletic members and their guests are also required to pay the $10 per person court fee. Court fees should be paid before play.

Unaccompanied guests are not allowed to use the tennis courts.

ALTA LEAGUE ROSTER DEADLINES All Spring ALTA roster deadlines – January 21st.

This includes Men, Thursday Women, Weekend Women, Senior Day and Junior leagues. Players on BridgeMill league teams must be Tennis or Golf members in good standing. Captains must get approval from the Tennis Department before submitting a roster to the league. Posted in the Pro Shop is a list of players looking for teams and teams looking for players. Call the Pro Shop if you want your information on this list.
