LOW-SPEED VEHICLES IN BRIDGEMILL

IMPORTANT NOTICE REGARDING LOW-SPEED VEHICLES IN THE BRIDGEMILL NEIGHBORHOOD AND ATHLETIC CLUB FROM THE BRIDGEMILL COMMUNITY ASSOCIATION AND BRIDGEMILL ATHLETIC CLUB

As a thriving and connected community, the safety and enjoyment of all our residents and members remain a top priority for all of us. HOA members and Club staff have recently observed increasing issues with the operation of low-speed vehicles (LSVs), including mopeds and motor scooters, in our neighborhood and on Club property. Many of these behaviors are not only illegal but also poses significant safety risks and have already led to property damage.

SAFETY CONCERNS AND PROPERTY DAMAGE

Many of these vehicles are being operated by young, unlicensed individuals who may not fully understand the risks associated with improper vehicle operation. This creates dangerous conditions for drivers, pedestrians, and the operators themselves.

Additionally, the Athletic Club has experienced several incidents of damage to the Golf Course caused by unauthorized vehicles. These incidents disrupt the experience for our members, compromise the integrity of the course, and result in costly repairs. Damage to golf greens and green surrounds can quickly amount to thousands of dollars.

GEORGIA CODE FOR LOW-SPEED VEHICLES

To ensure compliance and community safety, we would like to remind all residents and members of the Georgia regulations governing low-speed vehicles:

1. Street Operation: LSVs may only be operated on public streets with a speed limit of 35 miles per hour or less.

2. Driver Requirements: Operators must be at least 16 years old and possess a valid driver’s license.

3. Registration and Insurance: All LSVs must be registered in Georgia and carry insurance that includes coverage for personal injury and property damage.

4. Prohibited Areas: LSVs cannot be operated on sidewalks, cart paths or after sunset.

5. Club-Specific Rules: At no time are LSVs permitted on Club cart paths. Only golf carts driven by players actively engaged in a round of golf may use these paths. This rule has no exceptions.

We ask all residents and members to ensure that all individuals in your household are aware of the LSV guidelines. These measures are designed to maintain safety and preserve the integrity of our shared spaces.

For those operating vehicles in violation of these rules, please note that the police will be notified and appropriate enforcement actions will be taken. These may include fines, property access restrictions or legal proceedings.

MOVING FORWARD TOGETHER

We believe that by working together as a community, we can address these concerns effectively and ensure that BridgeMill remains a safe and enjoyable place for all. If you have any questions about these rules or wish to report violations, please contact the Club office or the Community Association directly.

Thank you for your cooperation and commitment to our community’s well-being.

YOGA

This March discover how yoga and core strength go hand in hand with our Get Sham-Rocked yoga series! Whether you’re flowing through a powerful Vinyasa sequence or unwinding in a restorative practice, your core is the key to balance, stability and controlled movement.

Why focus on the Core in Yoga?

• The core supports strength and stability in every pose

• It enhances balance in standing and arm balances

• The core protects the spine and improves posture

• And deepens breathwork and relaxation

Breath and Core: The Ultimate Connection Did you know your breath is one of the most powerful tools for strengthening your core? In yoga, deep controlled breathing -especially diaphragmatic breathing (belly breathing) and Ujjayi breath (ocean breath) helps activate the transverse abdominis and pelvic floor muscles, key stabilizers of the core.

How Breath Engages the Core Inhales create expansion- Exhales create contraction- drawing the deep core muscles in for support. Conscious breathing enhances stability, making every pose stronger and more controlled. From dynamic core-engaging flows to gentle, breath centered movements, every class will help you build a stronger, more centered body and mind. Join us and Get Sham-Rocked on and off the mat.

GOLF INSTRUCTION

WELCOME NEW GGP COACH ZACH CALDWELL

Zach Caldwell joins the GGP Team as a seasoned golf professional with an impressive eightyear career as a professional golfer, competing on tours including the Korn Ferry Tour and the Challenge Tour in Europe. This experience has laid the foundation for his successful transition into coaching. His dedication for helping his players reach their goals and full potential is his primary focus when working with any skill level of golfer.

TIP FROM THE PROS THE GAME-CHANGER

Quick question: What is the width of your dispersion pattern, first with the driver, and then your #7 iron? Across 14 tee shots with the driver, it is NOT unusual to find regular golfers with a dispersion width of around 60 yards and more. With the #7 iron, 40 yards and more.

Reduce your dispersion numbers by just 10% and you will find yourself in more fairways and walking to a green with your putter out more often.

FIVE WAYS TO REDUCE THOSE NUMBERS

STRETCHING: Exercises that stretch out your hip flexors will help you maintain the proper posture through the golf swing. It is almost impossible to build consistency into a golf swing without that stability.

STRENGTH: Stability (and power) is also improved with stronger core muscles, including your glutes. There are simple exercises that don’t need weights to build core strength.

TRAIL WRIST ACTION: Your trail arm wrist (right wrist for right-handers) controls the face angle at impact. Can you improve both your understanding of the correct action AND the execution of the action?

SWING PLANE: Ball flight is a combination of your clubhead path AND face angle at impact. Too few golfers get the club onto a good swing plane on the downswing. They make it very difficult for themselves to attack the ball with a good swing path.

CLUB FITTING: There are so many ways a poorly fitted golf club gets in the way of you making solid square contact with a golf ball.

We can help with a fitness program, a practice plan, an improvement plan, a club fitting; but, all improvement starts with a conversation about you and your goals first.

Let’s get the conversation started! Book a lesson with us at georgiagolfperformance.com
