Warranty Conditions

During warranty period of the machine, all the failures related to material or workmanship defects will be repaired by Hidromek (or authorized dealers) free of charge. During warranty period, if the machine is used out of its intended purpose, if it is modified without prior written consent of Hidromek, if periodical maintenance is not duly conducted by Hidromek (or authorized dealers), and if original spare parts or wear parts recommended by Hidromek are not used, warranty conditions will be null and void.

Main parts and components of the machine such as buckets, lifting arms etc. are designed and manufactured for certain applications. If machine is used out of its intended purpose, performance of such parts and components cannot be guaranteed.

Warranty certificate is valid only for the machine it belongs to. For their claims during warranty period, customers will be requested to provide warranty certificate and periodical maintenance invoices issued by authorized service dealers.

Failures happening when the machine is used by unauthorized people without an operator's license will be out of warranty coverage. Operator must be competent, sufficiently trained and should be prove these with professional qualification certificates.

Periodical replacement parts, wear parts and/or materials such as oil, fuel, antifreeze, filters, linings etc. are not under warranty coverage. Glasses, mirrors, pins & bushings, V-belts, teeth, electric cables, bulbs, lamps, turning lamps and parts made of elastic materials such as rubber and plastic are not under warranty coverage.

Warranty claims related to tires and diesel engine will be evaluated by their manufacturer according to their own warranty policy and their decision will be final.

Repair and maintenance of radio/cassette player/ CD player and similar devices will be made by their suppliers through their service dealers.

Any kind of failures and/or damages originating because of hitting, collision, dropping, rolling, tilting the machine or operating or parking the machine in improper conditions will be out of warranty coverage.

It is the customer’s responsibility to follow machine's operation hours and periodical maintenance time and request service from Hidromek. If maintenance cannot be conducted in time and machine continues to operate as such, possible defects or damages will not be under warranty coverage.

For the service works to be done under warranty, customer has to deliver the machine to Hidromek Authorized Service or Dealer. In case repair or maintenance of machine is not allowed for some reason or repair or maintenance is delayed and defective machine continues to operate, possible defects or damages will not be under warranty coverage. In case machine fails during warranty period, the time spent for repair will be added to warranty period.

Hidromek's responsibility is limited to repairing the machine within a reasonable time. Customer cannot raise any claim for the time spent for repair and for the time machine is away from work.

Hidromek is free to decide to replace failed parts partially or fully or to reuse them after the repair. Replaced parts are Hidromek's property. Lost or missing parts are out of warranty coverage.

Performance of Hidromek labeled original parts, which are designed for Hidromek machines, cannot be assured when they are installed on another equipment.

Works which are not covered within warranty even during warranty period will be charged according to current Hidromek parts and labor rates.

All the warranty claims during warranty period will be submitted in written to authorized Hidromek Services, Hidromek Branch Offices or Hidromek After Sales Service Department. If failure under warranty needs to be fixed at Hidromek workshop or at any Hidromek Authorized Service or Dealers, transportation costs will be customer's liability and will not be under warranty coverage.

1. INTRODUCTION

1.1. FOREWORD

This manual contains information and data regarding safety, operation, transportation, lubrication, maintenance and repair of an excavator.

You must read and study this manual carefully and fully understand the operation, lubrication, maintenance and repair information before operating this machine. Failure to follow this manual can result in serious accidents and loss of warranty.

This manual is not intended to train the operator in the art of excavation. Therefore, to use this machine, you must be an experienced operator in excavation and must have a valid operator’s license

WARNING

If you operate this machine without due care, it may result in serious injury.

Mechanics and operators must read this manual carefully before operating or performing lubrication, maintenance and repair on this machine. This manual should be stored in the literature storage area in the operator’s compartment, so that all personnel handling the machine can read it periodically. Read this manual repeatedly and study until you become familiar with controls and operations of the machine.

If this manual is lost or damaged, please consult your HİDROMEK dealer.

When the machine is handed over to another party for any reason, this manual should always accompany the machine.

The safety, operation, maintenance and repair information described in this manual are limited to the specified intended usage of the machine.

Some photographs, illustrations or information in this publication may not reflect details or attachments available on your machine. Guards and covers may have been removed for illustrative purposes.

Continuing improvement and advancement of product design may have caused changes to your machine which are not included in this publication.

1.2. SAFETY INFORMATION

Most accidents involving product operation, maintenance and repair are caused by failure to observe basic safety rules or precautions. Do not operate or perform any lubrication, maintenance or repair on this product, until you have read and understood the information regarding operation, lubrication, maintenance and repair of the machine and its components.

Therefore, the safety related contents depicted in this manual or on this machine can not cover all of them. When operating the machine, keep safety in mind at all times and use your own judgment, to prevent injury and damage to yourself, to others and to the machine.

Detailed working method Refer to "4.15. Additional Works Using Hydraulic Excavators". This manual contains the information on safety, operation, inspection and maintenance related to the specified usage.

Safety related areas other than specified in this manual should be considered as users own responsibilities.

Operations outside the specified usage of this machine should never be attempted without consulting Hidromek or without using additional equipment that are suitable for the work as to be recommended by Hidromek.

This machine is CE marked. This means that, when delivered to the customer, the machine meets the applicable “Essential Health and Safety Requirements”, according to the EU Machine Safety Directive. Any person carrying out any alteration that might affect the safety of the machine will be responsible for possible consequences.

The machine is supplied together with a Declaration of Conformity with the EU Machine Safety Directive. If the machine is used for purposes or with special bodies or add-ons, other than described in these instructions, safety must at all times and in each case be maintained. The person carrying out such action is also responsible for the action, which in some cases, may require issuing of a new CE marking and of a new Declaration of Conformity in compliance with the EU Machine Safety Directive. HİDROMEK is only responsible for the changes, which are made by HİDROMEK.

1.6. EXHAUST EMISSION REGULATION RELATED PARTS

This engine has been certified under the domestic and international exhaust emission regulations. Do not remove or modify the equipped parts related to the exhaust gas control system.

Caution

If the instructions in this Operation and Maintenance Manual are not followed and the emission control system begins to function improperly, the engine monitoring system will display a warning. If this warning is ignored and the engine continues to be operated, the engine output power and speed will be restricted and the machine will become inoperable.

1.7. BREAK-IN OPERATION

This machine has been adjusted and tested before it is shipped from the factory.

Abnormal operation at early stages may reduce the performance and life of the machine. Therefore, operate the machine for the first 100 hours carefully.

Pay attention to the following during this running-in period:

 Allow the engine to idle for 5 minutes after starting the engine.

 Do not overload the attachments.

 Do not change engine speed too rapidly when starting, accelerating, stopping or turning.

1.8. SPARE PARTS AND SERVICE

HİDROMEK warrants to its customers the supply of spare parts and after sales services for the machines theybuyfor at least 10 years from the date of manufacture.

To be able to use this machine the operator must have a valid driving license necessary for operation of this type of machine according to the national, provincial, state or local regulations; and you must also be experienced in use of this machine and its attachments.
