Prior to Operation CHECK AND OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING BEFORE PUTTING INTO OPERATION! 1. Check the oil levels in the gearboxes and in the cutter bar. 2. Lubricate the mower unit thoroughly before operation. 3. Check that the mower blades are properly fastened. 4. Check bolts for tightness. 5. Check the safety features (e.g. overload clutches, covers over drive components, .....) for correct function and correct location. 6. Only switch on the mower unit when in the lowered position. 7. Switch on the tractor PTO shaft only in idle speed and with the machine in the swung-in working position. 8. Do not exceed maximum PTO speed of the mower unit (1000 r⁄pm). 9. After hooking up the mower unit and engaging the universal drive shaft, by carefully lifting out and lowering the mower unit, check that the universal drive shaft rotates freely. 10. Secure universal drive shaft against rotating by hanging in the chains. 11. Check the safety guards for wear and damage. 12. Check the lighting, turn flashers and brake lights for correct function. 13. Instruct persons to leave the danger area; if persons approach the danger area then turn off the mower unit immediately. 14. Never let the mower unit run without being supervised.
