Whatever type of work is being done (earthmoving, handling, drilling, etc.), the safety measures for private or public work-sites are those which conform to current regulations in the country concerned, or the type of operation concerned (example: mining, quarrying, tunnelling). The safety instructions given in this manual are a summary of the basic rules to be respected at all times and do not exempt you from insurance requirements or from abiding by the highway code.
