4. When installing the elbow (1) to each port of the steering unit, tighten them to the specified torque. Elbow (1)

Tightening torque ........ 24.5 N•m
6. The mounting bolts (1) for the steering column and steering unit should be tightened evenly to the specified torque. Mounting bolts (M10P1.25)

Tightening torque ........ 34.3 ~ 44.1 N•m
3.5 ~ 4.5 kgf-m 25.2 ~ 32.4 ft-lb
5. Make sure to follow the hydraulic hose tightening torque for the ports T, P, L and R of the steering unit. Hose T : Green Tag Band
Hydraulic hose P : Red tag ........... 49 N•m
• Hydraulic hose L : White tag .......
Hydraulic hose R : Yellow tag ......
7. Apply a sufficient amount of grease to the inner section of the steering rubber (1) and the spline inserting section (A) of the steering shaft before installation.

6.1.1. STEERING UNIT (ORBITROL UNIT) COMPONENTS DISASSEMBLY




1. With the steering unit placed upright as shown in the figure, unscrew the end cap mounting bolts (1) to remove the end cap (2).
2. Remove the O-ring and Gerotor set (stator, rotor) (1), spacer, seal ring and O-ring in order.
3. Pull out the driver (drive shaft) (1) to remove the plate (2) and O-ring.
