McGregor to meet at Luigi’s Aug. 1

HEWITT – McGregor Lodge will meet Aug. 1 at 5 p.m. at Luigi’s in Woodway. A July meeting will not be held.

At the June meeting held at George’s in Hewitt, President Doris Mooney read a thank-you note from The Rhett Revolution for the donation the lodge made to the McGregor Food Pantry for Join Hands Day.

Get-well wishes were extended to Diane and Jerome Weinstrom.

Congratulations to Marilyn Frase Janke for earning her 70year membership pin. She has been a member since July 23, 1953.

Regenia Arseneaux and John Sneed were wished happy birth- day. Happy birthday wishes to all who celebrate in June and July.

Elizabeth Sneed is excited about attending Camp for the first time in July.

Members are going to miss Charles McAnelly. He is moving to Tyler to be closer to his sister.

Doris made cookies and presented them to the men in attendance in celebration of Father’s Day. She reminded everyone to fly the flag on June 14, Flag Day, and on July, 4, Independence Day.

The door prize winners were Kerry Arseneaux and Charles McAnelly.

Everyone is wished a safe and healthy summer.

Irvin Schulmeier celebrated a birthday in May.

May prize winners were Linda Lambrecht who won the $30 attendance prize. Winners of splitthe-pot were Carolyn Worsham, Glenda Bayer, Candace Scheibe and B.J. Voight. Door prize winners were Tommy Weisner, Glenda Bayer, Jonathan Kelley, Tammy Haecker, Julie Lyssey and Kerry Lambrecht. Tommy Weisner, Carroll Gloor and Kerry Lambrecht were thanked for cooking the sausage for the moms.
