Lockhart Lodge will hold next meeting on Aug. 6

LOCKHART – Lockhart Lodge will meet Sunday, Aug. 6, at 4:30 p.m. A July meeting will not be held.

The lodge welcomes new member Hadley Joye Harrison of New Braunfels.

Agent Janice Kuhen reported renovations on the Retirement Home Annex are completed and rooms are available to rent. Annuities are paying 4 percent.

Congratulations to Janice for being named a runner up for the Muehlstein Memorial Award Agent Fraternalist of the Year.

President Nicky Duewall read a letter from the Home Office congratulating the lodge on receiving the Black Level achievement certificate for its Join Hands Day project. This year a donation was made to the Lockhart FFA auction. She also read a thank-you note from McKenzie Hess of the Lockhart FFA for the donation.

Nicky reminded members about Family Fun Day on June

24 at Six Flags Fiesta Texas and the Hermann Sons Life Statewide Bowling Tournament July 29-30.

Ann Schroeder reported the Schroeder family traveled to Corpus Christi to watch their granddaughters perform in the Hermann Sons Life School of Dance recital.

Door-prize winners were Rudy Schroeder, Tim Schroeder and Debbie Pfefferkorn.
