Brenham Lodge plans fish fry for July meeting

BRENHAM – Brenham Lodge will meet July 14. President James Hyvl will provide fish for a fried catfish meal with fries, coleslaw and hushpuppies prepared by the 006 Cooking Team. Members are asked to provide desserts.

The lodge is hosting a Patriotic 4th of July dance on Sunday, July 2, at the lodge hall. Doors open at 2 p.m. and the dance is from 3-6 p.m. Cost is $10 per person and the music will be provided by Allison Crowson, Robert Herridge and friends. The public is invited.

The lodge welcomes news members, Ashley L. Bentke, Daisy S. Smith, Elijah O. Smith, Violet R. Smith and transfer members Lisa M. Curbo, Billy W. Ruemke and Pamela R. Ruemke.

The lodge hosted a drive- thru meal on June 4. A total of 430 plates were sold. Thank you to top sellers, Judy Baichtal, 93 plates and Shirley Rowan, 49 plates.

May birthday celebrant was Delores Meyer. May anniversary celebrants included Richard and Pearlie Hanath, 63 years, and Kevin and Melissa Ullrich, 41 years. Celebrating June birthdays were Will Blakemore and Gloria Hanath and Will and Sheryl Blakemore had an anniversary in June.

June door-prize winners were Robin Mann and Doris Falkenberg.

Bingo games continue Thursday nights with games starting at 7 p.m. and doors open at 5:30 p.m.

Everyone enjoyed hamburgers provided by the 006 Cooking Team. Thanks to them for a great meal and to the members who provided desserts. The next meeting is on Aug. 11. More details will be provided later.
