Round Top Lodge awards scholarship

ROUND TOP – Round Top Lodge awarded a scholarship to McKinley Jasinski, daughter of Becky Mueller. She graduated from Brenham High School where she excelled in FFA.

The lodge also recognized Sophie Rauch at the May meeting. She graduated with honors from Round Top-Carmine High School. She was congratulated and presented with a card with everyone’s signature and a special cake was served. She also had the job of drawing for prizes.

Agent Linda Mattocks was given a round of applause for being the top-producing agent in 2022.

She was honored at the Agents’ Awards Banquet in May. The lodge is planning to make monetary donations to local fire departments. Discussion was planned for the next meeting.

Happy Birthday was sung to Pearlie Wagner, Lila Garlin and Dwight Nittsche.

Attendance-prize winners were Mary Rauch, Bob Porter, Jeanette Schoenst, Betty Porter and Brenda Stardig.

Door prizes, compliments of Betty Porter, went to Pearlie Wagner, Lila Garlin, Melanie Rauch, Margie Stardig, Jocie Braun, Floyd Braun and Sophie Rauch.

Following the meeting, everyone enjoyed a meal, refreshments and fellowship. – Reporter
