Fort Worth Lodge pioneers receive membership pins

FORT WORTH – Fort Worth Lodge held a pin presentation celebration Sunday, May 28, at Spring Creek Barbecue in Burleson.

Mary Martin received her 70year membership pin. Mary has been a member since Aug. 1, 1983. She stated her dad was an agent at the time for Gordon

Lodge and signed her up. Mary’s husband Jack joined her for the presentation.

Husband and wife, Kenneth and Patsy Miller each received 60-year pins. They have been members since Sept. 8, 1963.

In honor of Memorial Day, veterans at the meeting were recognized. They were Jack Martin,

Seguin Summerfest Aug. 13

SEGUIN – Seguin Lodge will hold the annual Summerfest on Sunday, Aug. 13, at the lodge hall, 2918 W. Kingsbury St. in Seguin, next to Granzin’s Meat Market.

Doors will open at noon for happy hour.

A barbecued brisket meal will be served at 1 p.m. Members are asked to bring sides and a dessert to share.

The event will include bingo, a split-the-pot drawing and the progressive Seguin Lodge member-only drawing for $85. The Humanitarian of the Year award will be presented.

The lodge is also celebrating the addition of new member Teal Luttrell. Teal joins her husband Kyler Wright and three children who are already members.

For Join Hands Day, the lodge donated to the Military Order of the Purple Heart and to the Harvest House.

Congratulations to Constance Johnsen will be a 75-year member on July 1.

Get-well wishes go to Jo Ann Bullock and Kenneth Miller who are now both at home recovering.
