San Marcos to hold Annual Family Picnic July 8

SAN MARCOS – San Marcos Lodge will hold the Annual Family Picnic at Zorn Bowling Club, Hwy. 123. just past Zorn towards Seguin, on Saturday July 8, beginning at 2 p.m. Sausage and wieners will be served. Betty Rust and John and Betty Schawe will host the event. Members are asked to bring vegetables or salad and dessert. Please bring items for the Hays County Food Bank. RSVP by Wednesday, July 5, to Janice Kuhen at jmkuhen@ austin.rr.com and also let her know how many children 12 and under will be attending. This year’s campers will be honored.

At the June meeting, the Cheer Committee reported a get-well card was sent to Larry Moreau.

Secretary Janice Kuhen read an email from member Kay Tilton stating she has moved back to New Braunfels.

Billy Preuss who celebrated 69 years of marriage on June 24, and to Mary Jane and Marshall Smith who celebrated 50 years on June 27.

Happy Birthday wishes were sung to the June birthday celebrants after reading their names and date of birth.
