Mission-Alamo plans Christmas in July gift exchange

SAN ANTONIO – Mission-Alamo Lodge will hold the Annual Christmas in July gift exchange at the meeting on July 23 at 2 p.m. There is a $20 gift limit. Wear red, white and blue. Hot dogs will be served.
The lodge picnic will be held Aug. 19 at Hilltop Camp in Comfort from 12-4 p.m. and is open to members and their guests. Hot dogs and drinks will be served, and desserts are welcome. Campers will be honored. The pool will be open, so bring swimsuits. RSVP to Joyce Knuepper at 210-508-5624 by Aug. 12.

The lodge welcomes new members, adult Joseph Anthony Ledwig and junior Bennet Vincent Vasquez.
At the May meeting, correspondence included a letter from Vice President of Member Benefits Cecily Kelly that the meeting change to the fourth Sunday at 2 p.m. had been approved.

For Join Hands Day in May, the lodge donated to the St. Pius X –St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Bernardo Lodge members earns recognition

Bernardo Lodge recognized member Billy Hagen at the May meeting. The Columbus Independent School District honored Billy for his outstanding teaching and coaching career of 36 years. He was presented a plaque for being named to the Athletic Hall of Honor. R.W. Maertz celebrated a birthday on May 26. Agent Terrel Maertz noted annuities are paying 4 percent. Contact him for more information. The next meeting was set for June 20.

pot winner was Avery Martinez and half was donated to the Grief Support Camp session. Mothers were recognized for Mother’s Day, and they received a small gift.
The June meeting was set for June 25 and fathers were recognized.

Richland Lodge plans to reconvene in September
PFLUGERVILLE – Richland Lodge will meet Sunday, Sept. 10, at noon at Richland Hall. All members are encouraged to mark their calendars. Due to the summer heat and no air conditioning, meetings will not be held in July or August.
In June, members enjoyed a chili dog lunch prepared by Mike Kelley and ice cream. Games of 42 and bingo were played.
