With the summer heat upon us, Howie and Beau have been limiting their time outside, which has turned out to be quite an adventure for Dave and I. They are always looking for something to keep them entertained and it’s not always ideal. Most recently, they found billiards chalk and talcum powder and proceeded to decorate our stairs and living room with it but were nice enough to put the talcum powder bottle back where they found it upstairs.
We just got them a little plastic pool since they seem to love splashing around in water, so I hope to have pictures of them playing in the water to share.
They also have an affinity for peanut butter filled pretzels. Somehow, they managed to take the bulk sized peanut butter pretzel container from Costco through the doggie door and into our back yard.
It’s never a dull moment with these two and we are always laughing at their antics. We’re thinking we need to put up a hidden camera to catch them in action while we’re out.
While the messes they make can be a nuisance, few things compare to the unconditional love dogs bring to the family. Both jump up and down with excitement when we get home. They both have decided their bedtime is whenever I go to bed, and they follow me up the stairs and go right to sleep. The minute we stir in the morning, they are right at the side of the bed, ready to say good morning and give kisses!
If you have been thinking about adding a new pup to your family, do it! They are the best mood-lifting, stress reliev- ers I can think of, if you don’t mind a mess now and then. com to schedule a time to meet them.
Howie and Beau wanted to share their friend, April, with you. April is just one of the many adorable pups of all kinds located at Heart of Texas SPCA/ HOT K9 Rescue.
