Community Spotlight Program provides health care to uninsured

NEW BRAUNFELS – New

Braunfels Christian Ministries opened Volunteers in Medicine (VIM) in 2008 in New Braunfels to provide quality medical and dental care to local uninsured, low-income patients. A second VIM location was opened in Canyon Lake in 2022.

VIM staff and volunteers provide whole-person care, patient education and spiritual support. The clinic also provides prescription assistance and a referral network.

In the last 15 years, VIM has cared for patients during 79,700 appointments. VIM provides access to care for 700 patients at 6,000 appointments annually.
