After students researched types of bridges and structures in Mr. White’s class, they designed a weight-bearing bridge using craft sticks. Using depth and complexity icons to guide their process, the bridge had to be at least 40 cm in length and able to support two 5 lb. concrete bricks using no more than 80 craft sticks.
