The Remind app is now restricting Remind accounts in our district to an unknown number of weekly messages.
Your campus can purchase a Remind Hub account for $4/student.There is not a way to purchase an individual teacher license. This will allow unlimited messaging to be sent to groups that have been created under your school.
If you are interested in purchasing a campus license, please contact Emily and I can put you in contact with the rep.
I would recommend using Schoology groups instead. We can import students into a group using their ID number. Parents are already attached to students in the program and can add their cell phone numbers to their profiles.
Google is adding more layers of security in theirAdmin portal. They are sending out emails regarding the approval of the 3rd party applications, like Quill, that use Google to login. We have the list of over 3600 applications that we are reviewing before the deadline and will be approving these before the end of October.

UPDATE: STAARAlternate 2 Participation Requirements
Based on information from the U.S. Department of Education, the StudentAssessment and Special Education Divisions of the Texas EducationAgency (TEA) have been working together to update the STAARAlternate 2 documents and trainings to ensure all students are appropriately assessed. As a result,TEAhas updated the STAARAlternate 2 Participation Requirements for the 2023–2024 school year. With the new requirements, we will review ofALLstudents currently scheduled to take STAARAlt 2 because some may no longer meet the criteria for this assessment.
REMINDER: MTSS Referral Packet
During the MTSS process, teachers must complete the MTSS Referral Packet in SuccessED found in the Rti tab in its entirety. Evidence of grades, attendance, discipline, and any other relevant academic data is required for a referral. When the packet is not complete, the process slows down. Some of the evidence are exclusionary factors for special education which is why it is important to have a complete packet.
UPDATE: Behavior Professional and Paraprofessional Roles and Responsibilities (link)
Please review the updated chart we are sharing with the team on October 6, 2023.
